    Cons -

    • The Television wasn’t working; it’s remote control was tattered and the lifts are out of use
    • Worst experience so far. My colleague stayed here overnight for work, and it was a disaster from start to finish. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, the breakfast was of very low quality, and he couldn’t sleep the entire night. Definitely not recommended.
    • Dodgy electrics, hairdryer cable could see the wires so didn't dare use it. Rooms nothing like in the picture. Cig butts on the landing, very run down.

Only upside was the price and parking.

Overall experience was poor. Reached the hotel and reception told us they were open 24 hours. When we went to check in early morning no one was at reception. Had to call the given number to get looked after. The iron in the room wasn't working, shower drainage was poor, tap was loose, toilet lock was about to fall off. Worst part, woke up in the morning with difficulty breathing. Not great ventilation.

    Absolutely terrible

Tv didn't work or did the WiFi, lifts were out of order, shower didn't work. No cold all water. Inly hot which was too hot, unable to get a cold water at night, bar was not open, heating was stuck on unbearable to get any sleep, should have booked a different hotel but was last minute, won't go back ..

    Enjoyed cooked breakfast.

I was the only one eating, so didn't feel the need for food to be left out. After 3 days, the bread was getting dry and the milk was on the turn.

Tardy, breakfast poor, beds uncomfortable, bathroom mould and no plug for bath

    1LakshmiaPosted on: 4-13-2025

The room smelled musky and the bed looked as though someone had laid on it. There were no other rooms available so we left within an hour of checking in. The hotel refused to acknowledge my complaint and concerns and did not reimburse me for the inconvenience. Further, they argued that their housekeeping team found there to be no issues!!! The worst part is, that I’ve been a customer of Booking.com for years- with no issues whatsoever, so it’s sad that they took the Hotel’s biased and inaccurate view, and stated that without picture evidence there was nothing they could do….. how does one even evidence that a room smells??!! My advice; don’t waste your time!!

Avoid at All Costs – Unsafe and UnhygienicStayed here with my 3-year-old and my mother, and it was a nightmare. The room was dirty, hygiene was clearly not a priority, and there were zero toiletries provided. The door’s electronic key card system didn’t work, so it couldn’t lock — completely unsafe. The toilet didn’t flush, and the WiFi was useless.Absolutely nothing about this stay was acceptable. If you care about cleanliness, safety, or even basic comfort, do not stay here.

I've stayed many times always coming back to this hotel when visiting Birmingham, for its location, friendliness and standard.

    3RachelPosted on: 4-7-2025

The actual hotel looks like a block of flats and it was deserted. The room was basic, not clean and the bed was worn and uncomfortable. We were the only guests for breakfast and the cooked breakfast was inedible.

    Never again

The window broken couldn't close it at all so was freezing in there in bathroom had tissue shoved in there around the edges which was filthy and definitely wasnt keeping the draft out looked like a run down concil estate overall toilet seat was also broken bed was 2 singles put together so had a massive line down the middle which was uncomfortable if u rolled on2 it so left there after just 20 minutes of been there no refund and definitely no return and they had the cheek to ask 4 £100 damage cost really

    1DennisPosted on: 4-2-2025

I had to request an alternative room as the one I was given was filthy with the carpet covered in stains.

    2WendyPosted on: 3-13-2025

    The bed was comfy

Dirty towels, no plug in sink broken towel rail blacked out window no glasses in bathroom no welcome information breakfast limited and only fried eggs that were left on hot plate to go hard and rubbery no information given about restraint so ended up getting Tesco meal deal ?

Good value with a feel of needs modernising but actually it's clean tidy and a retro feel is welcoming and required now and again

No walking distance 24 convenience stores but reception does have a selection of snacks and drinks available

1 staff in building who tried bless him but had loads of rooms to manage but cleaning/maintenance staff didn’t do their job

No toilet role. Lights weren’t working. Not cleaned properly.

    Disappointed

The first room we we given we couldn't lock the door as we were going out. We were given another room and it was very disappointing. We had gone into the city for a night out and when we returned we noticed a few faults with the room. There were loose light fittings and the decor was very poor. The bathtoom window wouldn't close and we got very little sleep as our room backed on to a busy main road.
