- Good location. Nice decor, comfortable bed.
- Lovely room, nicely decorated and very clean. Staff were really friendly.
- Gorgeous hotel with great interior ,bedroom was gorgeous with great character, pub adjoining to it was lovely and the bar man couldn't have been any more helpful & nicer, looked after us really well , nice continental breakfast too in morning
Cons -
- The breakfast was poor. Served until 10 on a weekend but when we arrived at 9:30 there was very little left. It is on a busy street with a popular loyd bar beneath it so it is quite noisy.
- I could not fault the hotel apart from I had an early arrival after being on go since 3 30 from Scotland in morning , hoped to have got into my room for around 1 /2 pm especially when I had an event at 4pm didn't get into room till just before 3pm , did message previous to enquire to get in a bit earlier but sadly to no avail. Still gave 5
- Smell of damp in hallway not great. Lack of breakfast a bit of a shame but I understand the thinking.

The old building and furniture is charming
Could not easily reach people at the checkin
I liked everything about my stay at the Frederick Street Townhouse. The room was cozy, the staff was friendly, everything was very clean and I also liked the toiletries. The location is very good too.
Gorgeous room in an old townhouse - great location in the jewellery quarter. Luxurious facilities including standalone bath, lots of great products and comfy bedding, TV etc.
Staff seemed in a rush to check me in and not so bothered about a proper welcome to the city (maybe because I am travelling for work) but this is understandable as I think I was the last one of the day!
The staff were very friendly, check-in and check-out were very simple, and the beds were super comfy! I don't usually like sleeping in new places, but I slept like a log! I would definitely return here if I were coming back to Birmingham.
Excellent place to stay, comfy, clean, affordable. I would definitely stay again.
The shabby chic style, having breakfast in the Button Factory next door. Easy access to the city centre
Parking was a bit of an issue. No lift, my wife has issues with stairs
Lovely room, attached to a lovely pub, there was some noise but it wasn't that bad for a Saturday evening.
Bed was very comfortable! Nice big room. nice little touches- water tea and coffee and bits in bathroom
could do with some attention in some areas but everything working
Really lovely property and very good facilities in a lovely area of town. Excellent facilities, the roll top bath was lovely. We had a great experience with Sa’ad, our breakfast guy, who was lovely and who went the extra mile and provided us with a special breakfast. Many thanks!
Nothing it was all good
Lovely hotel full of character, check in is the pub next door lovely staff very helpful.
Loved it all
The location (close to New St station and the Utilita Arena) was perfect and the staff were great. I enjoyed the breakfast selection and the room was very quiet, so I had a great night’s sleep. The discounted meal in the Button Factory was much appreciated and very enjoyable.
The bed was a little droopy to one side and the room was chilly, there was no extra bedding. The coffee in my room was out of date, as was the milk provided for breakfast.
Really friendly helpful staff, all welcoming and proud of their business, hotel and restaurant. We had a meal on arrival at Button factory next door ,food was delicious, cocktails were nice, all staff attentive and efficient.Bedroom was lovely, bed comfortable, very clean, tv and WiFi worked well. Continental Breakfast at Button factory really fresh and varied, plenty of choice, again staff really helpful.Good location for city centre about 20 minute walk.
No parking here so we parked at Newhall Street NCP which cost us £53 for 2 days.
