Pros +
- Proximity to gay village, new street station and the bullring. Great breakfast and very friendly staff.
- Great location staff always friendly and helpful , option to check in online if you prefer
- Location, Lovely big bed. Nice breakfast friendly atmosphere.
Cons -
- It’s quite tired, the room and corridors gave strong 90s student accommodation vibes and my room strangely always smelled of cigarette smoke.
- Never stayed on floor 4 before unfortunately there is a constant noise from the ceiling above maybe a generator?
- I could hear the music till 3am....apparently few night clubs nearby. I will ask for quieter room next time.

Location was perfect! Was great value for money and very clean and modern
Lovely new carpets, reception area great, breakfast was delicious with a wide selection of food, staff polite
Heating unit in room was noisy even though we turned it off , not much sleep
Property was nice and clean and great value. Great location too for shopping and bars and clubs
Breakfast was very decent, typical English; hash browns, sausages and bacon were all of high quality. coffee was alright too, along with the juices and cereal selection. Room was very comfy and coffee facilities, towels and detergents all great too. Can't really fault this. Good thing as well is the fact that the taxi can reach in front of the hotel, unlike the ones in New Street.
I didn't find faults in this.
The hotel feels more upmarket than your usual Ibis. Facilities are great.
It's above a night club. For one night not a huge issue though.
The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was quite good.
The bedroom was very small. The bathroom was tiny. And the shower was terrible (water not hot enough, poor fixtures and very little power)
The location is absolutely great. A few minutes walking from the Central station, from Moor street station, from a mall and 10mins walking to every attraction like Victoria square, the library and the canals. It's situated in a vivid area (China town) with a lot of dinning options, feels safe but quiet. The lobby has a great bar for late evening drinks and games Our room was rather tiny but absolutely worthy for the price. There's a TV, desk, wardrobe, extra pillows, hairdryer. The bathroom looked modern despite being tiny and was very clean. Room windows were openable without any danger for getting though them and having fresh air is a rare option in hotels. The staff were kind and in the same time not really in your way. Absolutely worthy.
The size of the room but it wasn't disappointing or something, just acceptable for the price.
Nil to add
Will be requesting an odd numbered room in future as the noise from the club on the Arcadia was approaching unbearable on Saturday
This hotel is in a really good central location: in the middle of Birmingham's China town and 7 minutes walk from New Street station, so an ideal location to explore the local area with lots of nice restaurants near by. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast was good. The room was not huge, but was of an adequate size. It had been well cleaned and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was not massive either, but was comfortable to use, was clean and had a modern shower. I thought given the price this was excellent value. It is very likely that I will use this hotel again if I travel to Birmingham.
The hotel is in slight need of refurbishment. There is nothing seriously wrong, but the carpets in the hall had a few stains on them, there was some scratches on the furniture in the room, and the curtains were a little tatty.
Fantastic location for the Hippodrome theatre. Small but well equipped rooms for an amazing price. Staff were lovely and helpful too.
The sink plug mechanism was broken so couldn't empty the sink but a very minor problem.
Super location, comfortable and clean room, friendly staff
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean & comfortable. Decent well priced breakfast
Location was really good.
Very basic. Bed not comfy, small bathroom
Central location
Car parking had to be paid for at high rates. If this is free, the stay would be financially more worthwhile.
Location is good, price was also competitive. The hotel was clean and welcoming.
There were no bowls on the table at breakfast. I had to wait over an hour for my evening meal because of a mistake when I ordered. The wrong beer was poured for me. The bed quilt was too thin. The heating was efficient but noisy, so I had to turn it off at night, so then I was cold.
Great location for exploring the city and well-maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful, everyone did an outstanding job.
Location
Price for what it is, is not worth it. Room was dirty. Was booked into a connecting room so could hear every fart next door. Heating did not work. Staff were not very supportive.
