About
Featuring an outdoor pool, family-run Beryl Country House offers luxury accommodations and award-winning breakfasts in the Mendip Hills area of Somerset. The property is 1.1 mi from Wells Cathedral and 1.2 mi from Bishop's Palace. The house has 6 guest bedrooms including the grand first floor rooms. Every room offers a blend of antique furniture and modern appliances. The reception rooms in the property are reminiscent of the grand days of English Country House living, with elegant proportions, antique furniture and Chinese porcelain. Complimentary tea or coffee and home-made cake is available every afternoon. Breakfasts are served on classic china, with silver cutlery and teapots. Guests can enjoy the formal gardens and surrounding acres of meadow and parkland. The estate also features Coastal Redwood trees, 200-year-old oak trees, and an ancient stone bridge. Beryl Country House is 2.8 mi from Wookey Hole, 3.6 mi from Ebbor Gorge and 11 mi from Cheddar Gorge. The center of Wells is a 20-minute walk away from the property, offering a variety of shops, restaurants and a medieval market square.
