The staff were so polite, accommodating and discreet. What a location, what a view and the food was served by happy, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The spa is quiet and secluded and Sylvia who applied the grounding oil massage was brilliant. Thank you all for my wonderful time with you.

An oasis of calm in the middle of bath with a wonderful restaurant. The tasting menu was superb. The. sommelier with charming and very informative.

We liked everything. The hotel facilities are of a high standard, and the staff helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts are excellent, as is the restaurant food in the evening. The spa was lovely, just wish that we'd picked up that there is a gym as well as a pool there. We had a treatment each, a little pricey but very very good.

There is a concierge parking service but this is only included in the price if the room is booked directly with the hotel. Fair enough as the deal for the 2 nights was good. But, we didn't know this until we arrived at the hotel. The cost of the parking is £35 per day. There is no on street parking so the only other option is a local car park 5-10 minutes away. This didn't spoil our stay but it would have been better to know about the charge beforehand.

Staff were on the whole v friendly with the odd exception . The suite was spacious and the bed was very large and comfortable. The water was hot and the bathroom was very clean and well appointed.

When we arrived the suite was extremely cold and the heating had obviously not been put on before our arrival. Even with the heating on it required 2 oil filled radiators to make the rooms warm enough. This was a very expensive suite that I booked for my husband's birthday - he is currently undergoing cancer treatment and I wanted everything to be perfect which unfortunately was not the case.

Building itself, decoration , gardens etc

Fantastic period property with gorgeous aesthetics and romantic elements across its space. The location was great as it is 10mins walk from the center and a convenient walk to many restaurants. Additionally, the food ( both breakfast and the restaurant) was just magnificent. The spa was super clean and the room quite big with great linen and bedding quality.

I had a massage and the air-conditioning is literally above your head, so you freeze. Small but major detail for someone who wants to enjoy the massage.Lastly, I think the hotel and spa staff can be a bit more welcoming. The restaurant staff were fantastic.

A stunning hotel in an iconic location. Public areas are beautifully decorated. Staff are incredibly professional but also friendly. Breakfast was exceptional. Great buffet for continental and menu for cooked breakfast. Waiting staff excellent. Lounge for guests a nice touch with complementary soft drinks and snacks.

Classic room we had was nicely decorated but rather small with a restricted view. Bathroom contained shower over bath and not the most modern.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings . Room was beautiful, great size. Breakfast was lovely. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Fantastic spa, v comfy room, great bar & cocktails, great location.

The service was excellent. The staff were exceptional. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist us.

We upgraded our room and we were surprised that there wasnt a fridge in our room. When we mentioned this, a fridge was promptly put in the room. However, I think this should be a standard facility in the room. UHT milk provided in the fridge.

Extremely polite & friendly staff that made me feel very comfortable from the moment I stepped in. Everyone always went the extra mile, from giving me extra waters to delivering a mini fridge to my room for something that needed to be chilled overnight. Definitely worth the extra dollars for this Michelin key hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect setting. Very friendly staff. An extremely relaxing hotel. My 9th visit since 2008.

Bedroom was perfect with views over the Crescent/park but ensuite was rather small. Also, a full length mirrow in room would be useful.

Breakfast was excellent, hotel location was exceptional and the staff were friendly and helpful. a beautiful building with a great garden.

The room was quite cramped. The two lounges were uncomfortable and it needs a more welcoming bar area.

Everything, the attention to detail was incredible. They knew we were travelling with an infant and they had toys, a baby bath , cot, bottle warmer all set up for us when we arrived. Our suite was spacious and spotless! Truly a luxurious experience!

Kids swimming times were very limited and wasn't too impressed by quality of my massage at the spa
