    • Location
    • It was an inexpensive stay and very centrally located.
    • Great location! The staff was wonderful, it included a breakfast, it was clean enough. It’s on old building.

    Cons -

    • One chair for 2 people
    • No lift to help with luggage up several flights of stairs.
    • Our room was in a separate section from the women’s bathroom. I heard doors slamming all night and it was very noisy. Outside my window there was a very rambunctious pub that kept me from sleeping well.

Hauling my suitcase up all those stairs.

It is a bed, it is a hostel, it is in a good location. It is clean. The staff are super friendly. The bathrooms are clean. It gets the job done. You will be walking up lots of stairs, but hey, I got my exercise. When you stay at a hostel you can get some CRAZY stories. And we acquired a few and me and my daughter have been laughing about our stay ever since! The housekeeper Allison is one of my new favorite people in the whole entire world!

Just normal hostel things. Our roommates were quirky, our window had a bar across the street and people yelling into the wee hours of the night. The dryers did not dry. But it is cheap, the staff is absolutely lovely, and the location is amazing! It is a hostel, what do you expect.

    Good location

No air circulation, bad linen, smelly rooms, dirty washroom/bathroom and only one fan available in entire room that was facing one section of bedding

Easy nice stay. Helpful friendly staff. Laundry was easy and affordable compared to London.

    8DoylePosted on: 1-16-2026

Large kitchen, free coffee and tea, adjacentcy to attractions.

Location was somewhat difficult to find due to being in a courtyard.

I absolutely loved the location. It was right in the city, close to a convenience store, and close to a lot of restaurants. You'd have no problem finding it.I also loved that they had a patio outside with lots of tables and chairs so you can enjoy the sunshine while eating your food outside, knowing that you're already at your accommodation for the night. The lobby was great, which had lots of couches to chill at. They also had a small library and lots of board games. Their kitchen facilities and appliances were genuinely more complete than my apartment so do not even worry. I also found out that they offered free breakfast during weekends, which I didn't even know when I booked! The breakfast was amazing and exceeded my expectations. They had gluten-free options and also plant-based milk. The bed was comfy and had a small nightlight and an outlet, which is really all you need. There are lockers in the room which I personally didn't use, but you can put your stuff there. There were lots of bathrooms you can use and the one I used was really clean!

I feel like managing the beds of the dorm rooms could be better? When I checked in, I was just assigned a room and told to choose one of the beds when I entered, which meant they must not be monitoring the occupancy of each individual bed. When I got to the room, some beds looked messy, some were occupied judging by the personal items on the bed, and a few beds looked made up. I just chose a bed with the blankets and pillowcases still neatly folded up. When the night came, there were only three of us in a 9-bed room, which was great, but it meant that the other messy beds were unoccupied and must not have been made up yet. I don't know. It didn't ruin my experience or anything, it just confused me, that's all.

I loved the bed and the carpetLoved the view of the Bath rooftopsLoved that there was a cornerstone very closeAlso close to one of the best bakeries in BathAlso fairly close to a supermarketJust one street away from the main shopping strip of Bath

The shower on the same floor (floor 3) didn't have enough pressure, so I went down a floor for that.

I liked the atmosphere and the convenient location. The staff were polite and helpful, and overall it felt like good value for money.

Nothing in particular- overall it was a pleasant stay.

Great place and enjoyed the window for the view and breeze.

The beds were a bit short, my feet and ankles hurt from the bars at the end of the bed.

Great location, all the points of interest are less than 10mins walk away. Barely used any public transport due to the great location. A member of staff, I dont recall his name was very helpful. Cheers to him.

Not convinient if you have big suitcases.

Toilets and showers not the cleanest

Value for money and how it was very close to all the areas worth visiting in Bath. The bridge is not even a 5-minute walk from the hostel. It is located in the old town and has a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants around. There are a lot of cheap food options as well.

Nothing. It actually exceeded my expectations as someone who has never tried a hostel before this trip all I can say Is that this hostel really set the bar up high.

    7DavidPosted on: 11-24-2025

The YMCA is close to the city centre and is reasonably priced.

Some of the decor needs upgrading, particularly in the bathrooms.

    3IcaroPosted on: 11-8-2025

I liked the area, because you are not in a noisy zone. The person at the front desk was very kind.Bath is walkable, with a young vibe, and has many things to offer.

The bed was not good, not firm, my wife and I ended up in the center because of the sinked mattress.Bathrooms are shared. They are clean, but you have to pay for the towels, for the shampoo too. Breakfast did not have many options, coffee was really bad, it takes time till it is refilled, you may endup not finding much at certain times. If you want they store your suitcase for several hours before or after your stay, you also have to pay.

    8ElizabethPosted on: 11-7-2025

Breakfast was not included in the price.

Clean, quiet basic budget accommodation with kitchen facilities amply supplied with dishes, cookware, fridge, microwave, stove top as well as large dining area. Easy walking distance to Waitrose store for grocery shopping. Close to restaurants. Location within 10-15 minute walk to main attractions.

Loved the ambiance and ability to meet people of all ages and walks of life. It was great having access to some kitchen facility and breakfast on the weekend was a bonus!

The kitchen could be better equipped.
