Pros +
- The bedroom was desperate from the pub itself, it was more of a self contained bedroom, bathroom and living space in a private courtyard a few steps away from the pub. The courtyard had a lockable door so only those staying overnight to get in.The bedroom was warm when we first arrived, very country style with warm tones. We were impressed by the usual tea and coffee stand that also had bottles of water. The bed was huge!Me and my partner struggled to find each other to cuddle up late at night. There was hanging storage, plenty of drawers and a hair dryer and TV available. A nice cosy chair and a desk for getting ready at.The shower in the bathroom is like on of the rainforest ones! Loved it .The staff were amazing and accomodating. We left our house at half 5 in the morning only to arrive at 10 am work out and ready for a coffee. We knew we could check in a little early as we had messages the night before but let's face it 10am check in is a no go at any any hotel. However we spoke with a lovely lady who offered to get us coffees and a warm spot to sit at seeing as we'd been in the car for 3 hours and she was quick to see if there was anything they could do to help.We had a family party to go to after 12 and I had asked if possible to get changed in the room if one became available. We enjoyed a stunning latte and it wasn't long before they advised on this occasion they could help, we paid the early check in fee and were in our room before 12 so we could get ready. We returned in the evening for a small family dinner, the Vegan falafel burger was good but the vegan ice cream much better! They had gluten free options as well so everyone at the table were catered for.We slept quite well, considering you're on top of a huge hill we didn't hear any wind or anything to disrupt us .Breakfast the next morning was amazing, my aunt was impressed by the individual cafeteier coffee.
- The breakfast and service were great, the lady couldn't do enough for us.
- Nice place to stay. Clean warm rooms, nice pub for dinner and breakfast
Cons -
- When we arrived I used the toilet that's in the pub, it was so cold, I think the stone walls had something to do with that. I had just left the warmth of the pub to go to the loo though.
- The cost was expensive for a room for 3, it would have been cheaper to get 2 rooms!
- The room was tiny but it was more cosy than we thought.

Lovely decor, very clean. Stunning bathroom. Would return here.
The room was tiny but it was more cosy than we thought.
Very poor
No flexibility what’s so ever turned up at 130 pm after a 4 hour drive asked if was any chance I could have my room a tad earlier as I had a horse running at bath races at 245 Got told no rooms to 3 o’clock absolutely no earlier Said they were all still Getting cleaned all 10 of them !!I then asked is there any were I could get changed and begrudgingly I was told I could get changed in the disabled toilet which for a guy who is 6ft 5 is not great What amazed me is they ask u to leave by 10 am in morning so they have 5 hours to clean 10 rooms and that’s if there fullWon’t be staying there again if though it only ,6 miles away from race track
Easily located. Lovely welcome by staff member. High quality furnishings in bedroom. Enjoyable breakfast in a very nice dining room
Room is very quiet, combined with a good comfortable bed this made us sleep very well. Bathroom is very clean, fully functional. Also the room is good sized. I also liked that the parking is easy.
Breakfast was a bit basic (limited selection) though it was good and tasty.
Lovely comfortable room with everything that you could need. Ideal for an Über ride into BathReally good breakfast. Team are super friendly
Excellent facilities. Lovely choice of breakfast and friendly efficient staff
Limited maintenance meal menu
Our food was great. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The staff was also great. Very helpful in recommending we take the bus into Bath instead of driving into the city.
Nice rooms, good location and friendly staff
Bathroom sliding door in Woolley was very heavy, extractor fan not working but informed staff.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The meal we had in the evening and breakfast was excellent. Our room was comfortable and clean.@
The room we had was a little on the small side, but this didn’t really matter as we only stayed for one night.
Breakfast was spectacular. Location was beautiful and 20 from where I was working. Staff were lovely and food was stupendous. Loved that it was dog friendly.
Shower temp control was either scalding or freezing. Hard to get just right.

Wonderful staff, great food, rooms are so lovely and location is great.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. The bed was also comfortable and quite large. We ate a very tasty and generous supper. Breakfast was surprising with various options for eggs not usually offered. I asked for baked eggs to see what that was - and out came a really delicious "white shakshuka"! I suggested offering a proper traditional shakshuka with the tomatoes to complete the great options! Great location just 2 minutes from the park and go with the bus shuttle to Bath.
Important to note that the rooms are not in the main building but about 50 meters up the open path, across a big beer garden to an enclosed area with one floor building. Don't forget your umbrella... Unfortunately, the windows are locked, and it was a bit stuffy in the room. I understand the safety issue regarding an open window on the ground floor but usually, the hotels have small upper windows than can be opened for airing the room while not being exposed, but this was not the case here.
The staff appeared to be enjoying their job. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were tidy, the menu for dinner was great and breakfast was very good as well.
The stairs up to our bedroom were steep and narrow, so we only took our hand luggage up.
Great location, nice helpful staff.
Bed a bit hard.
Location, parking, food and drink were all very good. Staff were excellent and the rooms we stayed in the courtyard were very well appointed, comfortable and spacious.
We checked-in on Sunday night and food service stopped at 17:30, so we had dinner elsewhere; this is not unusual for the cotswolds and other rural locations. Breakfast was excellent though.
Excellent situation, generous car park, well presented room, good meals
Just our luck to have inconsiderate insomniacs next door
