    Pros +

    • Good location, was clean and tidy. Well organised
    • The lady in front desk was very friendly , fast check in , even offered to take my luggage for me but I declined as I’m a gentleman, the location is superb , the price was great , bathroom was huge and shower was up there with 1 of the best you will get in any hotel
    • Friendly staff, great location for transport, warm and clean

    Cons -

    • The room was absolutely freezing! I tried to turn on the radiator but didn't seem to work... had to wear my jacket in bed just to get to sleep and wasn't a nice experience.
    • Now this is when it gets interesting, the stairs are a lot but was prepared for it but if you aren’t then it could be a shock , the 1 key for all doors is a bit strange and a little concerning if that opens the main door (which is always locked !)and your room door so I’m assuming it must open every room door never experienced that before , alarm went off a few times during the night and when went to check out in morning there was a smashed door so not sure what was going on , tv didn’t work as WiFi signal was too weak , upgraded the room for us but it has a bunk bed in it along with the standard double bed very strange upgrade but appreciate it as it may have just been a larger room , I don’t get creeped out in at all , infact I’ve stayed at a haunted hotel and that didn’t even feel as creepy as this it’s just a strange vibe , nothing to do with the staff though probably because you never see any of them except check in but as I said she was nice enough .
    • Very poor sleep - Two fire alarms on the second night, one at 2.30am and another one 45mins later. Long way to walk downstairs - no certainty of cause of the alarms but someone had also smashed the glass on an interior door so looked like drunken guests misbehaving

Great location and friendly helpful staff. The accommodation was clean and functional and had everything I needed at a very good price. Suprisingly quiet for a Saturday night too, which was very nice! I would stay there again.

Personal opinion-more heating, was a very cold day

    5AurelioPosted on: 2-16-2026

The hotel was in the town centre

Thin walls let noise in the room from the hallway Poor WiFi reception Bathroom didn't have a radiator and was cold

Easy booking. Warm welcome by staff. Very clean room. Comfortable bed and a decent shower. Across the street from bus. train station. I managed to book the night before for a hastily planned trip.

Nothing I can think off. Unless you consider all rooms are upstairs, which wasn't an issue for me personally.

I was going to book a substantially more expensive hotel but as I was only in Aberdeen for a night I decided to try a 'cheaper' option. What a pleasant surprise. Nice proprietess did my check-in. She had upgraded me. (This hasn't influenced my opinions in this review). Old building but hotel has been nicely renovated - a mixture of old and new.

    Nothing I'm aware of.

This was the sixth time i have had the pleasure of staying at this establishment, and i look forward to my seventh visit in a few months time.I visit Aberdeen on a regular basis due to my work. And I always stay at Aberdeen House. The location is so central in the city that everything that Aberdeen has to offer is easily within reach.. I only had to walk everywhere as everything is practically on your doorstep.Thank You Aberdeen House!

Location, good size rooms, well size bathroom and shower, comfy bed, clean.

Hearing was off during night and get back about 5AM. In summer it is not a problem but not when about zero outside...

Staff are very friendly and do an excellent job to accommodate any requirements. I stay in Aberdeen House every week for work and it definitely does the job in terms of location.

Certain rooms can be a bit colder in the winter time but nothing that you can't live with.
