- The spa facilities are lovely ?but sadly you have to book for only an hours slot ??but I could only get 3/4 in there ?booking me for 10am (that was the only slot available) i had to get out showered dressed and leave hotel by 11am or the fine you 10 pounds!! ?it was extremely stressful clocking watching ?defeating the reason I went because I needed a night off to relax? The bed in the executive suite was too way too hard so I didn’t get any sleep ?you also have to pay for overnight parking ! the room very dated but cleanSadly I wouldn’t go back again ?would go where I can relax ?

No fridge in room, no microwave, no water.
Clean, spacious and modern rooms. Bed was large and comfortable with good soundproofing to allow for a good night sleep. Buffet breakfast was good and kept clean and organised. Stayed in restaurant for evening meal and the food was really good. I had a steak baguette and my son Fish and chips. Everything eaten.
Nothing really. If I was looking to moan, we were made to make a reservation in the restaurant wait until the exact time before getting taken for dinner despite the restaurant only being at around 30% capacity. I was in a party of 4, two dads and sons for a football game in the morning so an earlier night would have been better, rather than what appeared to be an unnecessary 1 hour wait.
Availability of everything I wanted for a relaxed weekend away.
The carpet in my room was absolutely dirty. The pool closes way too early. At breakfast I missed the names of the food items/dishes/ drinks that were served.Smokers area in the entrance of the building is an absolute no go!I am allergic to smoke and had no choice but to walk through loads of smokers standing in the entrance (was a wedding going on inside).
Clean and quiet
Paying for a car park wasn’t in the price of booking
Clean and quiet rooms,
Paying for a parking
Nice quiet location
Room was really hot but was a warm day
Nice presentation, very clean. Staff friendly.
Next to busy road so hard to sleep. Didn't find the kettle until the morning I left! Don't know why it wasn't on the surface. Pillows too hard. Bed otherwise ok.
The staff were great, friendly and as helpful as they could be. Did not use the pool area but had a look and it seemed quite nice and safe. Breakfast was really good and the bar at night had a really relaxed atmosphere. We met many lovely people. The location was a bit out of town so if you dont have transportation think twice. The rooms were a bit dated but clean. We were woken by a fire alarm, not a drill, one morning but staff were exceptional reasuuring us all was well, no fault of theirs. Parking was weird, I could not see any other businesses nearby but had to pay on a machine for parking, not sure what was going on there. All in all, the staff were absolutely lovely, the rooms were clean, though a bit dated.
Accommodation was a bit dated and the location was a bit far from the city.
Reception staff were delightful, friendly and efficient. Young lady dealt diplomatically with the rude gentleman who barged in to interrupt my check-in with an idiotic question.Restaurant staff similarly were very courteous and efficient, particularly the male helper at breakfast (shortish, foreign) who went out of his way to help with an unusual order. The room itself was comfortable enough, reasonably spacious, with a lovely view of the massive roundabout and fast food outlets on the other side. Netflix log-in was simpler than it has been for other hotels with older TVs. Might have neglected to log out though. The pool facilities were excellent.
There isn't much else within walking distance, apart from the fast food joints on the other side of the furious roundabout. Not a problem if you eat in.
Spacious family room Food lovely we had evening meal and breakfast
No fridge in room
Nice big room & ensuite. Good facilities & lots of choice at breakfast.
Room a little dated. Car park was very busy during our stay.
The location was excellent, checking in was very easy, parking was great, room was clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay! Next time we will stay longer!!!
Nothing!
The rooms are nicely appointed, great shower, safety deposit box and quiet. The hotel is located close to the Souter Hill bus stop to access town. Great gym with pool and sauna. The breakfast is very, very good as are the restaurant meals served on an evening.
I found the restaurant service either at breakfast or in the evening a little variable.Host / Hostess - generally speaking it is smiley and friendly, but on occasion it is not welcoming. As I said, the food is tasty and very good. Sometimes though and depending upon volume of guests (coach parties) the service could be improved. Upon being promptly seated, it was at least 15 minutes before I had to get some waitstaff attention. I ordered drinks and food, food arrived without cutlery which I had to then chase, drinks were stood on the bar which I had to follow up on.Upon checking out, I let the reception know when asked about my stay, and there wasn't any interest in my response.Don't get me wrong, it's a good place to stay, but I think the F&B service approach needs to be reviewed.
If I were staying here for work (i.e. if an employer were footing the bill) I'd be happy enough as the room was adequate. The room was quiet, the water was hot, the staff were polite enough.
They really fell short on cleanliness. When I arrived in my room there was poo in the toilet, which I certainly don't expect, but I figured this was just something the cleaners had overlooked and I flushed the toilet. However, the bedding was threadbare in patches, there was really nasty looking staining on the bed runner, and one of the robes also had brown stains on - all of which was very off-putting! Definitely not what I expected of a 4* hotel. They had also hidden the tea and coffee facilities in a drawer, and it seemed like they hadn't refreshed them? The food was so-so - the "guacamole" on my nachos was more of an onion sauce that had been thickened with cornstarch and artificially coloured, and the scrambled eggs were that kind of rubbery mass catering kind that comes in a big bag and you kind of scoop a block off (the kind that would be at home in a premier inn). I was also surprised that there was no fridge or hairdryer in the room. I had booked another stay, but I've since cancelled
Spa pool
Staff and requests that I paid for in advance were not met
The hotel met all our expectations. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were also great.
The breakfast was okay. But could be more diversified. Offering halal options would be a huge plus.
We liked there was a pool, but it was a Saturday so it was full of screaming children…no one was watching or telling them not to jump on others! We liked it was easy to find and the restaurant was good.
No tea making facilities. The cost.
