Excellent day rooms are good stuff of friendly and the food is exceptional
Easy to get to in Aberdeen plenty of car parking had a great sleep for a reasonable price
This is a lovely, warm, friendly place with a great atmosphere. Staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was so clean, modern and spacious, it had everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable. The food was delicious, there is an excellent choice for both breakfast and dinner, we were out during the day but there is a good lunch/light bites menu too.We will definitely go back.
Fine and central
Nice comfy bed
Very warm welcome and accommodating staff. It was very busy as they had an event on, but nothing was too much trouble. The room was really well appointed and looked like it had recently been updated. The duvet and pillows were some of the best I have had in a hotelVery tasty, freshly cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious.
The shower room was clean but dated, however it was perfectly workable. We were in a room on the 2nd floor which was a bit of a pain with luggage we had as the stairs were quite steep.
We had a very comfortable stay , very friendly , helpful staff. Room was lovely & very clean.
The only problem was the room was a bit cold & if u turned up the heater it was very nosie, & the bathroom heater never worked. The room we where in was next to the stairwell so was noisy with other guests going up & down. But that would not put us off staying there again if we were in Aberdeen again.
Loved our room, the bar and restaurant downstairs, and the friendly staff. Also the Sunday roast dinner was awesome! Also loved the outdoor patio.
Really nothing. Climbing up the stairs with luggage was a little difficult but that's part of the charm of this beautiful building!
Rooms, staff and location
Breakfast good service was prompt but very basic
Breakfast was delicious Room was very clean. Staff friendly
Shower tray felt very spongy whilst showering and bathroom floor uneven.Noise from some sort of air conditioning unit (on outside wall) kept me awake, however I am a very light sleeper
My second stay at Ferryhill House Hotel, which is a lovely manor house, set in its own grounds, nestled in an upmarket residential area. Both rooms that I have stayed in have been fresh, clean, warm and cosy - I have visited both times in late November! The hotel is a convenient stones throw from downtown Aberdeen but nicely away from its bustle in a quiet neighbourhood. The food menu is great and tasty - we dined in the evening and for breakfast. The staff are all very helpful and accommodating. The value for money at this hotel is good. I can recommend a stay at Ferryhill House Hotel - I stay at many hotels on business and this is a good all round place to stay!
Location and parking were excellent. Restaurant was very good and breakfast was good but limited in choice
We were not keen on the wardrobe layout in the room and tv was a bit small for the room.
Beautifully presented, spacious and comfortable room and amazing meals. Staff friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was very good.
The whole place seems a little dated now. From awkward steps on the stairs and badly designed door that opens onto the stairs when accessing the guest area to rooms that are in desperate need of a refresh. Some would say it gives the place character but I would say it needs updating and making safe. The floor in the bathroom was lifted in a number of areas which could cause a trip. The floor in the entire room was extremely out of level and the bathroom was at a complete slant. The shower screen was all rotten at the bottom and there was a section of wood in the shower that was soaked rotten. There were cobwebs in and around the shower. There was a large flap above the shower that was rather open and I couldn't tell what it was for but I am sure how open it was changed in my time in the hotel. The panel concealing the toilet system was coming away and damaged. The radiator in the bathroom has now adjuster on it and the wall around it had been slapped with filler and not dealt with. The bed wasn't comfortable at all and moved in the night. I had to move it back in the morning.
Location is good Staff very attentive and friendly
We had very little signal for TV therefore unable to watch it ! We were staying in top floor and took ages before we got hot water for shower
Nice quiet and safe location with garden and good parking place, very kind and helpful staff. Pretty good restaurant, the breakfast was really rich in a real Scottish style. The room was clean and spacious. Thanks for the kind hospitality.
No real problems.

No real problems.
Renovated old building bedrooms tastefully done and public areas.
No lift I’m elderly and was given a room on the second floor. The staff changed it to a first floor room.Breakfast was a strange experience. No breakfast juice, or fruit, porridge brought with no milk. No toast and marmalade offered. Very disappointing.
Breakfast was good, served by a cheery waitress.Bar service and waiters in bar very good.
The shower was compact, as was the bathroom. The mastic sealant around the shower tray was black and very uninviting.Very disappointing, just a minor detail, but spoilt the whole room.Should check with guests prior to allocating rooms, as we were given a room on the 3rd floor and were 73 and 69 year old pensioners. No lift !
