Aloft by Marriott Aberdeen TECA

It was not my first time at Aloft Aberdeen TECA. The hotel is very comfortable, has a nice gym, and more importantly, the staff is always so nice, especially this time that I had my dog with me.

Perfect location for concert, room was very nice and comfortable.

Staff were a little 'sharp' when checking in, it was very busy.

Proximity to venue

When checking in the staff remember didn’t look very happy . Also, the bedroom door seemed to have a slight gap when closed and when someone passed it seemed to move slightly .

Receptionist was very friendly my neice lost her purse and she'd had it handed in.

We couldnt figure out air con/heating tried everything but was too late at night so just went to bed. Managed in morning and mentioned to receptionist she said next time just phone its no problem she'd had problems with it herself x

Location to P&J Live arena.

Internal noise for a period, bedroom walls need painted as marks all over them.

Proximity to venue, friendly welcoming staff

Lack of sleep due to very drunk and noisy guests on same floor as our room. Although not the hotels fault it did reduce the enjoyment of our stay.

Clean and tidy and excellent staff.

Although the hotel is heated throughout the air conditioning is pumping out cold air above the raised area at Reception. This is not the first time that I have raised this during recent stays.

Style, ambiance, room.

Dining/Breakfast area staff were a bit clueless.

We have used this hotel 3times now and find it perfect for our visits to Aberdeen.Meals both evening and breakfast are very good, and for breakfast very easy to navigate.All the staff are very efficient and go out of their way to help especialy Anuj.

Great design and comfort. Food good. Great gym and pool table

Small bar so difficult to get served when busy before a concert. Service charge added on first night without being informed.

The bed and bedding were super comfortable. The shampoo, and soap were lovely and the location was perfect.

It had a lovely vibe to the place. It was clean and relaxed.

The temperature thermostat in the room was either making it too hot, or too cold. But it wasn’t a biggie.

Location, facilities, breakfast, cleanliness, room size.

Parking price.

Brilliant location for going to gig at P&J. Staff were fantastic and so friendly. Anna at reception was lovely and big shout out to Mark on the bar. He went above and beyond to keep his customers happy, making me my favourite cocktail which wasn't on the menu.

Food ordering for your room is a bit hit and miss, forgot our order and was over an hour to get food. Disappointed it’s not delivered to the room. Not sure what the service charge is for if you order online yourself, pick it up yourself and take it to your room yourself!

I paid £189 for a room. At that price point I’d have expected a bottle of water in the room but there wasn’t. I went to the bar to order food. After checking the menu for a few minutes in front of the bar tender and a supervisor who were chatting, I waited a further few minutes for them to finish their conversation so I could order. The conversation was only broken when the phone rang. Once the phone call was finished I attempted to order something from the menu, only to be told that all they could serve was pizza and chips because supplies were low. The bartender was too busy in his conversation to tell me this when I was checking the menu. I sat at a table to wait for the pizza, when it came, that same bartender placed it on my table on the serving tray and walked away. There was no offer of cutlery or napkins etc. and none on the table, so I had to move to eat. Really terrible service, which I wouldn’t have expected after paying that price.

Lovely hotel, pleasant and helpful staff. Bar and sitting areas very cosmopolitan.

Only thing missing is quick bites confectionery, or maybe I just couldn't find it !
