    • Location is amazing, 3 min walk from Callao and Gran Via, metro station Santo Domingo is across the street and Callao very close. Really good price, a lot of diferent people, bar is cool, my recommendation. I was also in Generator Barcelona, in Gracia, but this one is much more better.
    • Location and the lobby was a very nice place.
    • My stay at Generator Madrid was very good. The hotel has a modern, fun, and comfortable atmosphere, making it a great place to stay whether you’re traveling solo or with friends. One of the biggest highlights is the location, which is absolutely amazing. It’s right in the heart of Madrid, just steps away from Gran Vía and close to major attractions, restaurants, and nightlife, making it extremely easy to get around the city.Overall, Generator Madrid is highly recommended for its great vibe and unbeatable location. I would definitely stay here again.

    Everything in overall was excellent.

The hostel’s entry is the same of the parties that happen there on Fridays. I got confused when arrived at the hostel, if it really was the hostel or just a party. I think that a previous information about it might help people to get there.

    9AdrianaPosted on: 1-3-2026

Prime location , walking distance from main city attractions.

People allowing their kids to run around unruly around elevator area, making it difficult to walk thru with luggage.

    1AshwinPosted on: 1-2-2026

Nothing. It was a very bad and average property.

Hotel staff says its not a hotel, but it doesnt say its a hostel. So the room was not clean, the hotel ceiling paint was coming off. No towels were provided. The bathroom was smelling of sewage. Arrogant staff. Basically nothing was good except the location of this property.

Price was expensive Security was weak

    Location and it was clean.

The bunk beds didnt have any curtains, so when someone goes to washroom and turn on lights everyone is disturbed. The place also didn’t take the luggage for storage for 2 hrs before check in. I had to pay $4 to get a locker.

I like to send your location and the friendly staff. Automatic lights in the room were helpful too.

I arrived quite late, so the room was just a place to sleep.

The location is perfect near the Gran Via, walking distance to the Royal Palace and other destination in the city.

    8GregoryPosted on: 11-29-2025

Location. It is right off of the Gran Villa shopping district and an easy walk to Plaza Mayor, and San Miguel Market.

It was okay. We were expecting more of a hotel, but it felt more hostel. Tried to go to the rooftop bar twice at around 9 pm. One time it was closing, the other time it was closed. Hot tubs were roped off.

    7AyelenPosted on: 11-8-2025

    The facilities at bedrooms.

They only have one lift at the hall. The other ones end at the first floor and you have to go downstairs with all your staff. Also, the entrance has stairs. The rest was really good.

Firstly, a big thank you Denise at the reception. She checked us in swiftly and was an extremely friendly person with an awesome personality. She recommended us several places to eat at, and we tried them all - from tapas at Bar Cruz, to paella at Paella Real - St Gines churros and tortillas at Pez Tortilla! Everything was amazing. The location of this hotel is so close by Grand Via shopping and metro stations. We stayed in the family room with a private bathroom. The room was spacious enough and clean. Since we were there till the Halloween, it was super fun to be included for the party as well. My family had a great time and stay here. Highly recommended.

Would have been nice is complimentary breakfast was included. Otherwise not an issue as there are many eateries nearby or you can pay extra to have breakfast at the porperty.

The rooftop bar was a nice sanctuary from all the noise on the main floor.

I made a mistake when booking. I didn't realize this was a hostel. It is difficult to unload/load from a taxi as the road in front is very busy and only 2 lanes. Then you have to lift your luggage down 5 stairs to get to the entrance. The main floor was extremely noisy and there always seemed to be people sleeping on the couches in the lobby. There were a couple of youth football teams- they were not that quiet.

Location is amazing, I would say cost-service relation is ok, is just that is a super crowded and busy place, so a lot of noise, however I have to say, not so much noise while being on the room. In general is clean, they just need to so something with the carpet on the floors, is pretty old and in bad shape. Also you can not control your own AC or heat, which on my view is not convenientWhen I found it at Booking it was not clear is a Hostel, which was a little bit dissappoiningWith that being said, I enjoyed the visit, if you are looking for a super basic place, which can provide your own bathroom and individual space, on a moderate cost, this is a good opportunityAdditionally the only comment is that is not accesible or easy when dealing with luggage, the main door immediately brings stairs down to the front desk, which is clear for me was the counter of the bar, and they transfered all there, no ramp no nothing, so you have to carry your luggage up and down, no matter how many suitcases or the weight, so definitely not considering special needs.

The location really couldn't be better, and considering how expensive accommodations are in Madrid, the value is quite good.

I would say that this is not a reflection of the accommodations, but I would seriously consider looking for something with fewer people per room because of hostel etiquette. Some people weren't too mindful when entering late or leaving early. The person under my bed had to leave very early, but instead of getting her bags packed the night before, she decided to wake up at 5AM, turn the lights on, and then pack all of her belongings.
