Location, location, location. Good breakfast. Staff very kind.

No ice at all. AC was slightly problematic, but ultimately resolved.

The room was spacious; the bathroom immaculate! Housekeeping did a wonderful job. Lobby personnel were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel and 2 metro lines puts the visitor within arm's reach of EVERYWHERE!

When you stay near "Sol" you can expect exterior noise late at night. The hotel cannot do anything about this. The central location and its proximity to EVERYTHING certainly far outweighs, in my mind, the inconvenience of a few late-night rowdies!

The hotel is located in a super central area. All sights are within max. 20 min walking distance. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is simple but quite enough for a good start to the day. If I come to Madrid again, I will definitely stay in this hotel without any hesitation.

The light in the room was insufficient. Sometimes there was a lot of noise coming from outside.

Location was excellent right in the city center, accommodation was lively, breakfast and staff were excellent.

The accommodation is located in the very center of Madrid. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast is excellent. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is clean and spacious.

we lacked a shelf in the closet where we could put the wardrobe.

It was very central. Very easy to locate and it was surrounded with many restaurants and seemed connected to everywhere i wanted to go to.

We like the neighborhood of the hotel but that neighborhood is pricey so this hotel was a good compromise. Breakfast has a good selection and availability until 1100. The room is big enough for 2.

No reception. The reception is just a desk with no room. The hotel could use a makeover and update.

Staff were friendly and helpful.. Everything that was needed was provided. The hotel’s location was very convenient.

The only downside was noise from other rooms. The room was quite small.

Fun themed hotel. Staff welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and large. Liked that had twin bed option as traveling with my daughter. Breakfast buffet had a good variety to start the day. Able to sit on top floor (tables and chairs available) to enjoy the night sky. We could hear street musicians playing close by from the roof which was a nice touch.

Room bit noisy especially in early morning when could hear street, stair, hallway, and elevator noise. Air conditioning not as cold as preferred. Hallway light flowed into the room around the door's edges and there was a sign on door that glowed in the dark. (prefer more darkness in room). Wish the room had mini fridge and luggage racks.

The staff was very friendly and able to help me with all of my requests. The rooms are very uniquely decorated and the building is very elegant. Great location and value for money.

My stay was very disappointing and did not meet what was offered in the reservation. The room was extremely uncomfortable and lacked basic comfort conditions. The building has only one elevator, which is far too small for the number of guests.The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and unsuitable for sleeping. In addition, the room does not have individual air conditioning. Although there is a central air conditioning system, guests have no control over the temperature. When I raised this issue, the only solution provided was to open the windows; however, the balcony is shared, which seriously compromises privacy, safety, and comfort.This experience negatively impacted my rest and overall stay. I believe the information presented on Booking does not accurately reflect the actual conditions of the property and does not meet the expected standard. Therefore, I request that this complaint be properly reviewed.

Very good

Please be aware that this is a very old centrally located hotel. Therefore, the rooms on the outside facing the street are VERY noisy!!! However, the staff were super lovely and moved us to an internal room which was perfect.

I like the location, it was near to the center and to the Metro, Puerta del Sol station. It is located in a walk distance to everywhere

Was TOO noisy one night I couldn’t sleep due to the noice from outside. The bed was uncomfortable too.

Sound isolation was not good, we could listen everything next room. Our room was 1,5m from elevator. Literaly, out door was 1,5 meters from elevator door. Every morning we could listen everyone talking waiting for the elevator. Breakfast room was very small, space between tabels was minimum making difficult to walk in the room.

Very cold in the room despite switched on AC and heating, very amortized furniture, floors, windows, tiles and walls in the bathroom (with marks from some trials to fix leakages i guess), very thin walls, one can hear neighbours from all sides plus running water, cleaning staff doing their job etc. breakfast was way too modest - they did not have eggs but some scrambled eggs liquid from a tube, coffee was horrible. Elevator is very old so you wait for ages to go to rhe 5th floor where breakfast was served.
