The location is great and within a quick walk to the Metro (Callao), Royal Palace, and Plaza Mayor. The hotel restaurant was good (we only had dinner). There are also many good restaurant and cafe options nearby. The free in-room minibar is a nice perk.

Service in the restaurant can be slow when it comes time to pay your bill, but that's more typical in Spain and not a big deal (imo). There can be some street noise at night but the hotel windows are double and block most of it.

The staff were very friendly, and the lobby was beautiful.

The temperature in the room was very hot during the stay. We asked for help but were told the heating is central so the temperature could not be adjusted in individual rooms. It stayed about 80F. We tried opening windows, but the location was very noisy.

We had a truly excellent stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable with a lot of nice touches, & was perfectly clean. The location is super and walking distance of many attractions. The breakfast is varied and exceptional. We also had dinner in the attached restaurant and we really enjoyed that. The staff we met were all friendly, professional and efficient.

Lovely central hotel to everything in Madrid. As a solo traveller I felt very safe in this neibourhood at all times of day.Clean and plush room with all the facilities one needs. Juliette balcony was welcome to have an opportunity to open the doors for fresh air, be it raining most of the time! ( February) Reception staff were always helpful and spoke wonderful English. The restaurant was great too. Breakfast good value and lots of choice. Bar staff friendly and welcoming and the food and service in the restaurant was 100%

Can’t think of anything that was negative. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Madrid again.

The hotel was amazing! The room was so spacious! The location was also so convenient, we never even called an uber because taxis were always passing by.

The classic modern look and feel of the hotel, and the restaurant, amazing breakfast, super confortable room and bed, great bathroom, terrace and view, and weekend that we will never forget! Thank you Hotel Preciados team!

I stayed at a room facing inside courtyard of the hotel.A swinging lighting because of wind,Banged on my wall all night.Could not sleep all night.

Very small room. Hard bed (not good for side sleepers). Hard pillows

Central and safe location, with easy access to the city. The room was very clean. I appreciated the free mini bar.

Despite my stay during the winter, the room was excessively heated, making it challenging to sleep at night and rest. I had to adjust the air conditioning to a cooler setting to improve the situation.

Location off gran via in ok part of town, safe walkable but loud even at top floor and not the nicest area.Staff wasn’t particularly friendly or helpful, beds and pillows hard. We had the the better rooms, decent sized but the big probs were the lights and bathroom. Lights on a master switch, all on or all off other than small reading lights by the bedsides.Bathrooms a disaster - it was all glass facing out to the hall and then a huge mirror placed across from door, the result was that anyone else in the the room can see you (and hear you) on the toilet from all parts of the bedroom! I’ve been married 32 years but I still don’t want my husband in bed to see me sitting on the toilet.

The hotel is old, my washbasin was broken, and I was given a room inside a storage room, which means there is no fresh air entering into the room. Fortunately, I was only there for one night and couldn't stay longer.

Location is perfect and safe and close to everything metro, shopping, sight seeing. Hotel is clean and fully serviced and elegant and stuff are very helpful 24/7. They made our stay very nice and comfortable.

Noise from the street. We were given 2 rooms on the second floor on the side street and we couldnt sleep from trash collection trucks early morning and late night. Also pple walking above us or in the corridor would wake us. I suggest taking rooms not on the side street and away from elevator. Also it would be nice if the breakfast had more variety and labeling on the food.

Location of the hotel is great. Staff at the reception too -- very friendly and supportive

The room is not a 4* room. The small window looks to a small hallway, not enought daily light and really nice appealing view from the window. Pictures of the room do not reflect the reality.Bedding can also be better.

It is home away from home! Rubio and Miguelito provided great service at Cafe Varela. All staff warm and accommodating. Can’t wait to be back
