    Pros +

    • My stay at hotel was outstanding. Perfect location next to Retiro Park, yet peaceful and elegant. The hotel combines historic charm with modern luxury, and the rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. The staff were professional, warm, and attentive to every detail, making the entire experience seamless and memorable.I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for refined comfort in the heart of Madrid.
    • Beautiful place, very clean, friendly and caring staff
    • Pros: Excellent location: sandwiched between El Prado Museum and El Retiro Park, just 3 blocks south of La Puerta de Alcala. Very friendly and courteous staff. Palatial decor, fittingly, with a grand dame feel. Very spacious bedroom and the largest bed I've ever seen (comfortable mattress and pillows too); a stunning ceiling fresco. Breakfast was simple, yet well-executed and delicious.

    Cons -

    • Loved all of it
    • Cons: No pool. TV selection was lacking, particularly without the option of streaming services.
    • Could have had more information on local museums and public transport options. No concierge.

A very homely hotel with the feel of a boutique hotel. Its location next to the Retiro park is ideal. The staff were super helpful. Initially I was told there was a charge for parking but on discovering the rental was hybrid they just parked it in one of the cities free spots. The room was amazing and break room intimate with a lovely selection of buffet and delivered to table items.

Could have had more information on local museums and public transport options. No concierge.

All aspects of the service in the hotel were excellent. In particular, the breakfast food was excellent and the service was excellent.

The WiFi was a bit patchy, and the room we were allocated, although very spacious, did not have much natural light and was therefore dark. The bed was also a bit soft.

The property itself is beautiful, very well located, with a very helpful and amazing staff! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a very personalized experience.

Loved everything. Nothing bad to say about our stay.

It is exactly how i thought it would be. I took photos to write a review and i really loved the quality of service, the breakfast had all i needed, also the spanish potato omlette, their walnuts were really good quality and delicious. I eat walnuts almost everymorning and i also buy very good quality ones, however theirs was very tasty. Their cheese was fresh and also very good quality. Everything was very good quality. The servicec the staff. I had read so many reviews about so many hotels, my regular hotel was full so it was impossible to choose, i was afraid of AC’s bot working or not having hot water, as some travellers have written in some reviews of other hotels. There is nothing worse than paying for a hotel that brings in frustration. However i loved it. My room also had a balcony that i didnt know and i wished it did and i was so happy when it was unexpectedly a small balcony where i can open the window. I opened to hear the wind and the trees. It was a good stay.

The pillows! I found the pillows uncomfortable. I believe two should be a little high and the other two a little lower in height. The bed and master was very comfortable but the pillows need to be changed. They were not horrible, still a little ok. but i preffer a lower. And your coffee machiene is in drawer and it is not easy to open it, fill it. Put it in the dressing cabinet, Is an idea but i didnt like it in the drawer. And i couldnt find a kettle? Must have in the room.

The hotel design, the breakfast and the bar. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the best neighborhood of Madrid, facing the biggest park Retiro, which allowed us to have a walk every morning.

Beautiful buildings, comfortable sheets and pillows, and lovely staff.

    Nothing! 10/10 stay.

the location the and staff were excellent

poor choice at breakfast ☺️and slow

    5Happybooker77Posted on: 11-9-2021

Average breakfast and room plus the location is great, but there are plenty of other nice hotels around Retiro than you should stay at - give this one a miss as there are so many things wrong that it simply isn't worth the money.

In general a very tired and mediocre hotel and nowhere near what I would expect from a five star establishment. Terrible service throughout the stay, as with all hospitality venues, the hotel was clearly having staff issues, but on one occasion my wife and I waited almost 25 minutes at the bar without service - we then left.

Excellent and attentive staff. Beautiful location.

Communication for massage was incorrect; confusion between front desk and massage provider.

    10RominaPosted on: 7-7-2021

Building, location, staff were excellent! Calming view of El Retiro park. Away from the tourist buzz but close. Super quiet even on a room open to the street corner! Staff is simply superb!

    Beds and pillows are hard.

TV sucks. No channels to watch. I had to use my laptop.
