Excellent location, over the top for friendly staff, cleanliness, and safety. I would stay again.

I had a great stay at Axel Hotel Madrid.The room was spacious, elegant, and perfectly maintained. The classic details and large mirrors give the space a lot of character, and the freestanding bathtub adds a refined touch. The bed was very comfortable, making it easy to fully relax.Efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere throughout. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you so much.

The location is very good

The staff wasn’t that clear about some things- like the breakfast, they didn’t said anything about extra charge- we just knew it when we got to check out

Location. Pool open with great views. Wintery day. So i enjoyed it alone before breakfast. Night staff - solved an issue very quickly and effectively. (Very noisy woman in the room next door at 4 am

I paid for upgrade - i was given the most basic room. The staff said i had the upgrade but that was not true. Lady at breakfast. Lovely. But did not listen to how i wanted my tea. She just gave me a glass full to the brim of warm water and the tea bag inside. Not a great way to start the morning. The food tasted like dish soap (all the fake bacon. The eggs. The glasses.... Tasted.as if soap had been left on them) the banging on the walls and doors by the rough cleaners. You can hear EVERYTHING from the rooms..

The room was adequate, however, opening the window, all I could see was the room across the court yard. There was no other view

You only served breakfast. Any room service was done through a third party. No restaurants located in hotel.

The location and the helpful staff were the best two things. The room we had was HUGE.

The toilet was in the room and it properly separated . This is awful. The curtains that divide the room provide annoyance with no benefit. The layout of kettle had no relation to plugs and so furniture needed to be moved around. (The first room (R5) we were given had no window to let in light and was accessed through a smoking area. It was dark, and the toilet was not separated from the bedroom properly. The bath water was brown. The staff were responsive and arranged for us to change rooms the next day when a good room was available)

Avoid please

This hotel not only bizarre but almost scary. Dark long corridors to get to your room, very unpleasant feeling as soon as you walk in. I literally couldn’t wait to leave. Breakfast was way below average I didnt even bother eating there. Avoid!!!

Location of the hotel is great, close to a lot of interesting spots by walking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Welcome drink in their bar was also really nice touch to the whole experience.

Room was a bit dark and the sink is in a strange place in the room.

Great Location. Central and touristic area. 24h reception. Free welcome drink. Room service good. Very LGBT friendly.

Safety should be better, We went to the gym and a guy (most probably from outside) was about to steal our phone. We were just very lucky to realized it very fast, otherwise we would have missed our phone!!!!!

The location is good.

There was literally a mini waterfall from the sealing coming directly to my clothes and laptop. They only refunded me 30% of my stay. The personal was rude in the night of the accident
