The staff was very professional. The location was excellent with restaurants & of course the square right there

Breakfast was nice although the coffee machines weren't attended to as they should have been. The view from our room onto the Plaza Mayor was wonderful.

The size of our room and especially the bathroom was a bit small for two people.

It's my second time back so I knew what to expect. Stayed in supreme room overlooking the plaza mayor with a view this time. I enjoyed it, although sensitive travelers may benefit from being informed of noice that naturally travels from the busy tourist plaza. Sensitive sleepers may choose courtyard view room options.

Gym could be bigger. Pool could be warmer. Staff is lovely and housekeeping is of really high standard. I recommend the hotel as comfortable for adult travelers, for business or a romantic get away.

Good location, helpful staff and plenty of facilities

The staff were so attentive and friendly. Service levels were up to that of a 5 star hotel. Our room was cleaned twice a day and choclates left on the pillows. We received a free upgrade on arrival to an amazing room with beautiful views to the Plaza on one side and down another pretty street on the other. The building sucessfully wedded the historic fabric with understated elegence. Highly recommded.

Elegant but not snooty, great location great rooms and common areas. Nice restaurant, great breakfast. Staff (every single one) are pleasant and very helpful.

The bathroom in my room was a little Odd. If you have to have lots of counter space that room would not be for you

Exceptionally beautiful hotel, great staff and great location. The indoor pool is amazing.

Pool area is very tight and not enough seating when busy and current seating configuration is a bit odd.

Breakfast buffet, staff was friendly and polite and helpful. Accommodations were very comfortable and clean

Spa wasn't in conditions. Both inside pool AND sauna were not at proper temperature, and in general except for looking good the whole spa thing wasn't happening. Also, view from the room was non existing+ space not optimized.

Loved both pools and the rooftop, the room was spacious and staff were great!

Beautifully renovated to high standard with very modern amenities. Upgraded to 4th floor with balcony and wonderful views of Plaza Mayor. An absolute treat. Lovely buffet breakfast in patio. Lots of healthy options. Very close to the historic, pedestrianised centre, so only a walk away from everything you need

The size of the room and the common areas of the hotel

Despite being at Plaza Mayor, after 5:00pm the surroundings are full of homeless people sleeping at night; so if you go out and arrive late to the hotel, you have to go through all the homeless to enter the facility. Also there is no discount on parking

The location was very good as you are at the heart of Madrid.

We wanted to enjoy the spa and massage. They have only one small sauna, which was 60C hot. It didn’t feel like sauna and it felt cold and they said they can’t do anything about it. Also, they only have small pool and no place to rest.

Need to use a lift all the time, stairs seem to be fire escapes only.Price - we were there between Christmas and New Year to be fair, when the city was extremely busy. Perhaps not so expensive at other times.

The one of kind artistic and historic ambience, and fantastic experience of heart of Madrid.

Location and the staff

The room was super small. The rooftop was closed for the season which was one of the main reasons we booked this location.

The hotel’s location was very central and truly perfect. The interior is beautifully designed, and the communal spaces are exceptional, especially the indoor spa pool area and the indoor restaurant. The staff were also very friendly and polite, which added to a pleasant stay.

I didn’t like that the shower was located directly in the room with no separate bathroom. The room itself was extremely small, with very limited storage, which made the space feel even more cramped with the shower inside.

Great location near lots of restaurants and activities. Staff were excellent. Comfortable beds, shower had great water pressure. Enjoyed our stay. Room service was very good.
