    Pros +

    • Good location as it’s very close to the plaza of Spanish and the royal palace. The breakfast is not bad compared to other 3 stars restaurants.
    • Super clean hotel recently renewed rooms. Despite being an old property the rooms are super comfortable with all the amenities and pretty good location right by plaza España.
    • It was very clean and very close to the center and the kings palace.

    Cons -

    • A little bit old and the internal facilities is not new. The lifts are very slow and small.
    • What we didn’t like was that the room was right next to the elevator, so we could hear everyone going up and down. Especially at night – the noisier guests were definitely noticeable. As I mentioned, the hotel’s location is quieter, near the palace, but it takes a bit of walking to reach the city center (the main streets). In the evening, if you’re not taking a taxi, it can feel quite far – around ±2 km. However, that might not be such a big issue.
    • Very difficult to access bath/shower The choice of two sinks took up half the bathroom

Comfortable, spacious room. View of the street (the palace). Someone in the comments mentioned that there was a lot of noise from the street, but that wasn’t our experience – everything was fine. Sleeping with earplugs, I couldn’t hear anything at all. I’d say it’s good value for money. The location is quieter and away from all the hustle and bustle of Madrid. There’s a hill nearby with a beautiful view – I recommend visiting it.

Wonderful stay! Central location, clean and comfortable rooms, and very friendly staff.

The room has a kettle with tea and two paper cups, but coffee and proper glasses or coffee cups would be a nice improvement.

Hotel has excellent breakfast and one of the convenient location to walk to several main places.

Room has a king bed and very comfortable and also USB drives are available. Bathroom has good enough Space. Only two things that are a bit inconvenient are room has any space to move around between king bed and table; and bathroom shower has no door to cover. Above discomforts can be overthrown for location.

The hotel located very close to town, only 10 minutes of walk. The room always was clean and tidy. I can’t recommend enough. The staff was really really helpful, always took care of us, if you need anything they’re more than welcome to help. Highly recommended

The location of the hotel is great. The staff were kind and helpful. Great breakfast selection. Comfy beds, on the hard side which I personally prefer

Would have loved the room to be a bit bigger. We stayed on the first floor facing the street, which gave us a lovely view, but the traffic made it noisy sometimes.

The modernised bedrooms are very comfortable and stylish and the hotel location is prefect for exploring the royal palace and surrounding area.

Overall, the hotel is good and well located. However, on the second day, the room was cleaned and the window was left open. When we returned to sleep, the room was extremely cold. The heater was not able to warm up the room quickly, and we spent a very cold night.I called reception and was told that I would have to wait for the room to warm up, but this was already at 10 pm. I felt they could have offered a room change or a discount. It was a bad night, especially for me as I already had a cold. I would have appreciated better attention to this issue. Wifi does not work well and it needs to be fixed.

Cold room. Very unpleasant. The cleaner opened the window and left it. The room was freezing and I got sick and had a poor sleep. Heating was not warming the room fast enough.

Great location, close to 2 metro station. Direct connection to the Bernabeu Stadium. A lot of restaurants in the area. The hotel was spotless clean, the staff were really nice and friendly. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, we slept well (some noise was unavoidable as we had a window facing the street, but much better than expected).

Maybe something to improve, in the winter months some slippers in the room would be welcomed as the floors get very cold even though the temperature in the room is perfect.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, in close proximity to the Royal Palace. There were many great options for food and shopping close by. Our room was huge which allowed us to properly unpack.

The hotel is a little in the older side but still very comfortable.

    Location, cleanliness , room size

They provide water bottles only for the first night which doesnt make any sense. All around the world ,water is something given to the customers free of charge.(atleast one small bottle per person per day should be provided)If you ask for water from your second day of stay they charge you 1.5 euros for 500 ml water which is insane.

Location is great. The room was large and comfy. The bed was great, big and comfortable.

The bathroom was in a bad condition, pretty old and not maintained. The stuff were nice on the stay but we had a bad ending to the experience with them. We asked for late checkout on 18:30 instead of 12:00. The representative in the lobby told us that usually it by 18:00 but we can take extra 30 min. We paid 40 euros for the late checkout, so far so good.On 18:10 while we are getting ready for the checkout and the flight, we got a call from the lobby that we need to leave the room immediately and do checkout since they have new guest whom need the room. They told us that by the policy of the hotel late checkout is by 18:00 and that no one approved to leave by 18:30.Of course they had miscommunication between the crew and the result was us getting ready really quick, doing everything on a rush and feeling nervous. On top of that the representative from the lobby behaved in a rude way and let us feel it’s our fault. I expect them to take responsibility on their mistakes and not letting the customer feel he need to explain or apologize on things like that!
