    Cons -

    • Parking is very hard awhen you have a rental car. The hotel doesn't have its own parking so one has to go public. The best is to leave the car near a Metro station, I used "Lago" two stations away from "Plaza Espa", and take the Metro back and forth.
    • bed was basic, furniture basic
    • Las camas no eran comodas sonaban cuando se movias ;los matrees muy desgastados.

Everything, the location is insane. In Plaza de Espania, 1 min from metro, right in the heart of Madrid, restaurants, shopping areas next to the hotel. The room is confortable, with a small kitchen, very clean. The hotel has its own restaurant where you can have a la carte dish with great prices.

Nothing that i can think of:)

Excellent location! Right on Gran Via. Really good value. Comfortable bed. Newly renovated bathroom. Room was warm and comfortable. Quiet.

The building setup: there are few sets of stairs that you have to drag your bag up to before you get to the reception. no elevator/ramp option. It wasn't too bad, but I have back issues, and it caught me by surprise. there was no concierge available to help, until I got to the reception, so I had to lift the bags on my own. I still liked it overall. The location is great and its a good value.

The access to the main street of Madrid was great, with plenty of eating and shopping options.

The adjoining guests were very noisy particularly those with children. We had a loud child in the room above who jumped and banged around on the floor, with the noise radiating below.

Well equipped kitchenette. Very clean. Very warm. Very big renovated bathroom. Comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet. Elevator. Nice cleaning ladies. Location - 1 min from metro.

Should have some dish soap and dish sponge; we had to buy it and then leave it, and I guess it happens to all people that want to use the kitchenette... There was a table lamp and a table that crowded a bit the room; I had two single beds and 1 child bed, so the walking space was a bit limited.

The room was way bigger than how it looked in pictures. I really love the staff, the location was perfect and I was just in front of the bus station

Good hot/cold choices. Good coffee/juiceKitchenette was a plus.

Terrible, lumpy bed mattresses.Only one chair in the double room. Nowhere to sit and eat kitchenette food.

Location is good, and staff is very friendly.

The hotel rooms, fixtures, heating system, bathrooms, etc is quite rundown. Not recommended for the value, significantly better hotels at 10-15 minutes walk at same or lower prices are available. Lastly the hotel facade was being renovated and it was very noisy during the day, but that's understandable.

Great location, good size room and bathroom. Had a small alcove with fridge, microwave, jug etc. Staff friendly and helpful. The bathroom had been upgraded and the room while a little dated was clean, spacious and tidy. Good location to Metro for exploring and walking distance to central sights. Great value for money

The location is perfect, near the best atractions in center of Madrid. It was clean and also quiet

The options for breakfast were limited, very poor choise and little in quantity

Excellent location Spacious roomVery accommodating staff especially at breakfast

Ground floor entrances and reception area needs a makeover It doesn't serve the beauty of the hotel well

The location was really advantageous, right in the heart of Gran Via, the busiest high street of Madrid, with very easy access to transportation, and in walking distance from major sites, like museums, Plaza Mayor or areas like La Latina or Chueca.

The building is old, it is necessary to walk up some steps in order to get to the elevator, which takes you to more steps before reaching reception, then take another elevator -which made a screeching noise whenever the door closed- to get to your room. There, the airconditioning was obsolete, our room (supposedly a 'junior suite') was just partly renovated (just the bathroom it seemed), the noisy elevator door screeching throughout the day and night was heard in the room, but worst of all was the lack of the basic welcoming amenities like a complimentary bottle of water or even a teabag or a coffee sachet. The breakfast was just basic, without the variety of products you would expect to find in a hotel of that level. In general, we didn't enjoy our stay in that hotel, especially when the price we paid per night was extremely high for what it offered, in comparison to another hotel where we had just stayed in Barcelona, the days right before visiting Madrid.

I really liked the location; it is perfect. I was very pleased with the accommodation, which has absolutely everything needed. The bed is very comfortable, and everything works perfectly.

I did not like the fact that there was no ramp. I was traveling with a baby and a stroller, and I was not always able to get assistance from the staff. Only two staff members consistently helped me; however, others did not, which made the situation quite difficult. As a suggestion, the kitchen should include basic items such as salt, olive oil, pepper, and vinegar. These were not available, so I had to purchase them, and they will be left behind since I will not be able to take them with me.

    The location was great.

The hotel is quite outdated, the breakfast quality was poor.

The location of the hotel, you get out of the hotel and you are in Gran Vía, where you can walk and do some shopping. 6 min walk to the nearest subway station. If you’re looking for a balance between price and quality, this hotel is a very good option.

The facilities are antique and there was a problem with the toilet , but no big deal.

Hotel is in a very central location with restaurants and theatres very close by. It is about 2 minutes walk from metro station and a short walk from the shops. It's very clean and rooms are spacious. The kitchenette came in very handy.

We've been to this hotel twice during the past year and renovations are still going on.

Fantastic location. Spacious rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely shower. If in Madrid again will definitely stay here.
