    Pros +

    • Clean and comfortable location which is well situated. As a solo woman traveller I felt safe here. The high ceilings and modern amenities are uplifting. ;)
    • Clean, self check in and out. It's easy to find it. Good location and available parking free parking lot around.
    • Great hosts with great communication. The property has several rooms available and a shared kitchen and laundry room. The further away you are from the kitchen area the less chance of being disturbed. Our room was very bright which was nice and it also had roll down shutters great for darkening and exterior noise reduction. Food stores, restaurants and 3 metro stations within a short walk.

    Cons -

    • Our room had no where to put luggage so we used the coach.
    • a bit difficult to find, at first. signage was hard to spot, and building was hidden between other buildings, (as it seems is the case in Europe
    • Location is not what most tourism would expect: mid,low-income neighborhood, but makes experience to a big city more real and authentic.

Walking distance to metro, and restaurants. we did walk to Prado Museum. that was over 3 miles, but doable.

Accomodations are interesting: a converted first floor of an apartment building with self check rooms. Well conceived and not an improvised design. Location is not great but has great value compared to more centric accommodations.

Location is not what most tourism would expect: mid,low-income neighborhood, but makes experience to a big city more real and authentic.

Room was quiet, clean and spacious. More amenities were provided than some other "four star" places I've stayed at in Spain. No toothbrushes though. Check in instructions were clear. 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station and supermarket. Happy with the stay.

Bed was too narrow for average/larger sized adults. 11am check out time is quite early. Bring eye masks if you are sensitive to light.

    Convenience

Needs dusting behind beds and needs a luggage rack and a bigger desk

    7Gabe G.Posted on: 7-30-2025

The room was updated as well as the bathroom. It all smelled good and the bed was comfortable.

This is not a hotel, it has no reception and nor on site personnel. The location is not very good, you need to walk for at least 10m to get go the neares metro station.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Great staff, facility, benefits and atmosphere! Everyone was squeaky clean. Free coffee and tea was available to prepare anytime at the common area. Microwave was available too. Excellent communication and help from stuff with anything (even when using a coffee machine for the first time). Great location as there were multiple metro stations around it and lots of grocery stores. Also €9-€20 Uber drive distance to the Airport. Very thankful.

    Nothing, it was perfect!

Gorgeous. Clean. Shared kitchen always clean and replenished

Could have a better isolation for the noise. You can hear everything in the next room

    6ObenPosted on: 4-29-2025

The room was clean and as seen in the pictures. 10 minutes walking distance to two different metro lines.

The neighborhood where the hotel is located seemed unsafe. we didn't have any problems though. The biggest cons is that the apartment door is automatic so you hear the buzzing sound for every person who comes in. Also, while we were staying, there were people constantly drinking coffee and going out and come back. It was difficult to sleep because all of those sounds. It was so disturbing.Lastly; although check out time was 11am, the person who was going to stay in the room after us came to our door at 9 in the morning. This is extremely inappropriate. The hotel owner should have made sure this didn't happen. We left the room early just for this reason.

The first day I arrived the hotel was clean, a bit noisy at times due to the common hall we all share.

Housekeeping is not available, and this is not advertised. I stayed for 5 nights and they cleaned the room once because mistakenly I asked the maid to do the room, but it seems it is not a service that is included...The hotel isn't located in a nice area of the city.

A sleepless, uncomfortable nightmare in a poorly soundproofed ground-floor room that felt like sleep

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE if you care about your well-being!Our experience was absolutely terrible—one of the worst we’ve ever had.First and foremost, this is not a hotel—that’s a blatant lie. It’s not an apartment, not a shared stay, and not even remotely close to what you’d expect. It’s something entirely different, and not in a good way.We stayed in the room called “Prague”, and it was a nightmare. The walls are paper-thin, and the location on the ground floor makes everything worse. You can hear every single sound—every conversation, every footstep, every door opening or closing, and even water running from other rooms. It’s impossible to get a decent night's sleep. The worst part is that the room is right next to the street, and it feels like the people walking outside are practically inside with you. Everything is so clearly audible that it’s nearly impossible to relax, let alone sleep.I've included photos to show how close the room is to the street and to give you a sense of the ground-floor setup. To make matters worse, the pillows were incredibly cheap and uncomfortable, adding yet another layer of frustration to an already miserable stay.Avoid this place at all costs if you value your rest and relaxation!

The room is great, you have everything needed. When we arrived everything was very clean. The hotel is new and modern. :)

The only thing that could be better is heating. Sometimes it was a bit colder even heating was on maximum. Anyway, I would choose again CH Tanez Carolina when visiting Madrid.

Good location and nice comfy apartment

Somehow I was having dust allergies when I was turning on the heating/ A/C. Wasn’t a big issue as I wasn’t too much time in the apartment but definitely something that can improve.

i liked the room size and amenities

in 5 days stay not even one day they came to to clean my room.. couldn't see the staff at all..

Compact, clean and comfortable. Only 5 minutes walk to Quintana Metro Station and that Line 5 takes you straight into Opera. I got back late at nights and didn't experience anyone hanging around on my walks back to the hotel. It was located in a safe location for a solo traveller in my opinion.

The room was close to the coffee making area, which was quite noisy one morning with quests using it. But for the value for money, I accepted it, but it was 8-9am, so they were within their rights to use those facilities. There were no such issues on the other four mornings or late at night when I needed to sleep.

    4NawalaPosted on: 8-28-2024

    I liked nothing about it.

It was not as described. Does not say the kitchen area is shared with other guests!! No one came to clean our room or took out the trash the four days we were there.
