    Pros +

    Cons -

    • It was a sauna. After I made the booking an email said under "important details" that "Instead of air conditioning in the room there will be a Tower Evaporative Cooler". This is a euphemism for "fan"! I should have paid more attention and cancelled. With temperatures well above 90 degrees in Madrid in June the room was extremely hot and the fan only helped if you were directly in front of it. By the way, the fan made a loud noise if you set it in the rotating position. Also, the shower door did not seal well and leaked water onto the floor...
    • The room was overlooking a noisy bar, and the insulation was so bad I thought I had left a window open since I could hear every word spoken 4 floors below. Not to mention that you will need to open said useless windows eventually because the room doesn't have air conditioning (I guess because the owners believe it never gets hot in Madrid) and it is so small that it gets hot and stuffy very quickly. But I guess this is by design since the shower runs out of hot water in less than 4 minutes (believe me, I timed it the second time it happened). Avoid at all costs.
    • No windows. Small room for that price.

    Won’t be staying there again

Room wasn’t cleaned at all during the stay. No staff at all. All done remotely and certainly looks nothing like the photos

    8CarolinePosted on: 4-15-2025

Good for value, really clean and staff super responsive!

Acoustic isn’t the best so wouldn’t recommend if you tend to wake up easily. You can’t leave your suitcase at the reception on your last day (if you wanted to explore some more before your flight) so we had to find an alternative and pay to store our luggage!

Easy place to find and stay few days in Madrid. Getting in was easy and finding room also, even if there is no staff around. Rooms have basic necessities, so if you are just coming to back to your place to sleep and take shower, it is good enough for the purpose. Location is also very good with practically all sorts of nightlife and restaurants around and moving around is easy as metro lines 3, 4, 6 and 7 are just short walking distance away

There are some noise due to building style, but it is quite common in almost any building in this area. It did not bother me too much, but more sensitive travelers should be aware of it. Also if room would have a small fridge to keep your snacks, it would be great. I would also say that I travelled during March where temperature was not an issue, but I could see potential issues in summer without air conditioning.Bottom line is, align your expectations for the price.

Easy access, close to the metro and walk distance (30 min) to Gran Via

Very small room (unclear from the booking site), not very clean (hair in the shower), very noisy at night

Place situated in a great location with a lot of shops around. Walking distance from the metro. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The tea and biscuits offered at the reception is a nice thoughtful touch to the guests.

A decent functional place in a good location.

Hot water in the shower ran out after just a few minutes. They need a bigger boiler when there are quite a lot of rooms.

    7YuriPosted on: 3-1-2025

It was nice location and clean.

I could hear people walking and talking on the corridor. The layout was unique. Shower room was located behind the bed and the top was open.

    8KrisztianPosted on: 2-24-2025

    Very nice, modern apartment.

Very thin walls, in the morning noises of the cleaning stuff wakes you up.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Not a huge fan of memory-foam beds, but that's mostly a personal choice. No breakfast, but there was tea and water in the common room.

The walls were very thin. I could hear my neighbour walking around in his room and follow his conversation during his phone call. I wouldn't stay there again because of the noise. People on the street were also very loud, and I recommend sleeping with earplugs. To me it's ok for one night. Wouldn't stay there for a longer stay.

    7MaryPosted on: 1-30-2025

Convenient for my needs on this trip. Decent shower and all the basics.

Mattress - rather bumpy memory foam. Thin walls meant I could hear the next room using their bathroom.

    9LiljaPosted on: 1-27-2025

Loved the room, it was spacious, very clean and all over very comfortable. Smelled very good and had a very modern relaxing style. Comfortable bed, we slept great. Easy communication with staff through messages. Has a water dispenser of cold and hot water with a tea station in the lobby. All in all good value for money.

    Was very happy with everything.

    9DayanaPosted on: 1-9-2025

Location and cleanliness were the best.

I would come back again to Montcloa , i did have a really good stay. However, Im not sure if they provide rooms with A/C ( i didn't see any in mine), so it will probably be difficult to stay in summer season.

    10RuthPosted on: 1-2-2025

The room was lovely, and exactly how it looked in the photographs and the location was excellent. We had everything we needed, including an extra pillow and towels.

The bathroom door should have a stopper on it, because it's easy to hurt yourself when you're just trying to close it. Our room was close to the back door and it would have been useful if we could have just gone in via the back door instead of walking past all of the other rooms every time we came in.

checking in process great, access to property great, lovely and clean, well appointed rooms, friendly staff.

VERY noisy, both street noise and internal from other guests. You can literally hear everything, in the next rooms, showers, macerator toilets, coughing, normal volume talking etc. No sound proofing at all. only 1 thin pillow per person and no TV......I can do without the latter and had there been TVs it's all you would have heard but felt as if it were missing.

    9TomasPosted on: 10-25-2024

Place is easy to find and very accessible to metro stations. Room is very comfortable

A little bit noisy with other rooms but nothing else really.

    Location near the city center

Uncomfortable check in time at 15:00.There is no iron in the room.
