    Pros +

    • Staff was friendly and accomodating
    • Lots of activities every night. Very welcoming to new guests and made it a really fun trip!
    • Great location, amazing staff and people, activities were great.

    Cons -

    • Bed was uncomfortable, very low water pressure and barely warm so I just skipped trying to take a shower
    • Nothing, even a “desayunito” is provided in the morning.
    • It's in a very touristy and shopping focused location, so finding authentic places to eat and drink around is tricky, If you are interested in stepping out of the 'busy areas' But that is not a fault of the hostel. And it's only a short walk to find more down to earth places.Having to walk through communal areas to get to the bathrooms and showers was a little annoying. But wasn't ever really a problemAlthough it is nice to not have a bunk bed, it does not offer much privacy and it means it is difficult to sleep wit people turning lights on etc. but again, not a big issue for me.

The property is very well located, very close to Puerta del Sol and it has many stores and restaurants around. Upon my arrival I was very well treated and supported by Fran, even though I arrived very early in the morning and my bed was not ready, she did everything to make me feel comfortable.

Nothing, even a “desayunito” is provided in the morning.

The location is great. It was easy to go back to the hostel while shopping and sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and convenient. If I come back to Madrid, I will definitely stay here again.

Location is very central and easy to get to and from. It's a very friendly and sociable place, well equipped kitchen, plenty of place to work or relax or be sociable. The events are a great way to meet fellow travellers and are affordable compared to other hostels. The staff are very accommodating (should out to Francesco)

    Staff was kind and helpful.

Management uses "volunteers" to circumvent paying their staff. Providing guarantees of housing and promises of payment but is known to not deliver. They will remove these volunteers from their housing in order to make room for guests. Blatant labor exploitation.

Catia is amazing. She is incredibly friendly, kind, and always helpful. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel welcome and comfortable. She is attentive, professional, and genuinely cares about the guests. Thanks to Catia, my stay was smooth and enjoyable. She truly makes this hostel a great place to stay.

Incredible location, such amazing staff (Francesco spent a ton of time giving me personalized recommendations right away when I arrived), perfect social friendly vibe that I can tell the staff work hard to cultivate! Would absolutely stay again :)

Never been to a hostel before so I was nervous. The staff and the receptionist Fran were very friendly, they had activities all the time and gave us dinner. They have a kitchen but I suggest getting up early so you can prepare something. The facilities were very good, everything was clean and I was impressed because there were a lot of people but you really couldn’t notice.

The only thing is that the very last night my roommate and I decided to go clubbing since it appeared no one else was staying at the room (it was 11:40 pm). When we arrived, there was someone there, so they did the check in very late, they would have woken us up. We made some noise when we arrived and it was an inconvenience but apologized to the person

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in!I stayed at OneFam Sungate and had an amazing experience. The vibe is super friendly, the location is perfect, and the activities help you meet great people from all over the world.Special thanks to Francesco from reception. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. You can really feel that he cares about the guests.Highly recommended for solo travelers and anyone looking for a fun, social and safe place in Madrid. I’ll definitely come back!

Even though I only spent two nights, I could immediately tell this place has an amazing vibe. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they really make you feel like part of a family. The atmosphere is social and full of energy, perfect if you’re traveling solo or want to meet new people. I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

Ultra close to Center -Sol — many bathrooms to use. Single beds no bunks. Without a doubt Do the Free Walking Tour (pay with a donation) and this will help you feel knowledgeable about the city and many places people and things of importance to Madrid. Onefam hostels are the way to go!

The location was great for all the main Madrid attractions and beds comfy. Out of all the hostels I’ve stayed in this one really did have the most intentional community/friendly vibe without being too party-focused. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, setting the tone for people to easily engage with strangers. Cat checked me in and gave such a warm welcome, making me feel comfortable right from the beginning.

I stayed at this hostel for two nights, and it was absolutely perfect. It’s super comfortable and very easy to reach from Atocha Rail Station — the main train station in Madrid. You just take the metro to Sol (only one line, no transfers), and it’s about a 6-minute ride. Sol is probably the most central spot in Madrid, so everything is close by.The walk from the metro to the hostel took around six minutes. The only small downside is that there’s no elevator, so I had to carry my two suitcases up to the third floor — but that’s really the only thing I could complain about.Everything else was amazing. The people were great, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming — they explain everything to you and make you feel like you’re staying with friends or family. They organize daily activities such as group dinners, games, movie nights, or nights out at clubs, which makes it really easy to meet people.Quiet hours start at 11 p.m., so it’s peaceful at night — no loud music or people talking. I think they only start playing music in the common areas around 10 a.m., so you can sleep well. The rooms are dark and comfortable, perfect for resting.I especially loved the bathrooms. They’re shared but spotless, and each shower is in its own private space, not in a big open room. It feels like a normal home shower — spacious, with strong water pressure and even a hair dryer. I actually prefer shared bathrooms like these because you don’t have to deal with someone flushing or showering in the middle of the night right in your room.Everything was very clean, comfortable, and well thought out. The atmosphere was friendly, the staff were kind, and I honestly loved this place. I would definitely stay here again!

Te mattress was not that good, but it’s a minor problem

I loved the location and the staff! Anna made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in. She even helped me practice my Spanish. This is the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. Aside from sharing a bedroom, I felt like I was in a resort.

    I liked everything

Clean. Social activities.Large, personal locker. Balcony to hang clothes. Flat single beds. Showers are normal, not 5 second push-button.

Showers lose heat slowly. If you shower fast, np.Very obnoxious CHEMICAL air fresheners in toilets and lobbies. Too strong, too poisonous.
