    • Great location. Very roomy. Great staff! Very nice high ceilings nags with fantastic crown moldings.
    • proximity to sight seeing activities
    • the location was great and room was cosy and spacious BUT

    Cons -

    • Kitchen area had no lights and was from 1950. Very little hot water, not enough for two showers and dishes. Internet connection was horrible.
    • Wouldif all staff had the same knowledge and not just the ones on certain shifts.
    • When we arrived, they didn't know we had our 3-year-old twins with us. They were complaining about the kids and wanted to charge more. They ended up not charging more, but they took our American passport as a deposit. In the morning, they decided to charge us more for the kids, and we couldn't do anything about it. We also had no time or energy to fight. We paid more, and they never gave us our passports back. We had a really big issue at the airport, and even after we told them, they still didn't give us the passports back. They didn't want to send them to us for free. They insisted we have to pay for the delivery. We contacted booking.com, and they talked to them, and they agreed to send them to us. The room was nice and beds were clean and comfortable

No lobby. No bathroom other than in the room.

    6LauraPosted on: 1-11-2026

location was central, bedroom spacious, bathroom small.

The bathroom was really small. no water pressure in the shower, sometimes no warm water. The door opens to the interior and makes the space very crammed to exit, also it was not clean- there was hair in the bathtub and the bathroom corners had sludge. The worst- i saw the cleaning person wipe the elevator floor with the hand towels used for guest rooms. I wondered about he cleanliness of the towels because they were not good quality. Noisy street. They also allow dogs and there was a dog yapping constantly during the day and you can hear it from the reception. Nothing was done to stop it for the 3 days I was there.

We booked a 1 bedroom suite and stayed 5 days. The suite was very spacious, clean, comfortable bed and within walking distance to the palace, cathedral, restaurants, shopping, and several metro stops. Yes, there was some street noise at night, not a lot, but when you book a hotel in the city center, some street noise is to be expected. Front desk staff was very helpful, this being our first stay in Madrid. Our suite had a microwave, sink, stovetop (we did not use), small refrigerator, plates and eating utensils, dish soap and sponge.

A roll of paper towels in our kitchen area would have been helpful.

Suite Prado Hotel in Madrid is loved for its spacious suites, central location, and friendly service.

The main downside is the noise from nearby bars and ongoing construction next door.

We had to book at the last minute but they found us a nice room in this old but updated hotel. Loved the location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They helped us find some great places to eat and sip sherry at a local historical bar.

    Their air conditioning wasn't working.

Great value for great location and lots of space. Really appreciated the sitting room, kitchenette was more equipped than i expected, bathroom was large and had a tub.

Beds were a little firmer than I care for, but that's me, and not unusual for my experience in Spain.

This is the worse and dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. It doesn’t look anything like the photos. Not even close. It’s not 4 star and it’s horrible value for money.

    8JoanPosted on: 4-14-2025

There were lots of very good bars and restaurants in the streets around this hotel which was a blessing and a curse as my room faced what was a very noisy street at night. The staff were lovely and the hotel was very close to everything.

The location was excellent. Breakfast was great. Very nice caring staff.

Even though the housekeeper came every day to set the beds and change towels, they did not clean the floor.

It was not possible to have breakfast before 8:00 … too late.

Location: In one word - fantastic. 6 minutes walk to Prado museum. 7 minutes walk to the metro stations Sol and Anton Martin. 9 minutes walk to the Atocha railway station (trains to Toledo etc). Lots of cafeterias, restaurants and shops nearby. Memorial Theatre 7 minutes walk. Room: We stayed in a two-room suite. Very clean and well equipped. Small kitchenette also very clean with all the necessary equipment. Air conditioner was functioning well, although a bit too noisy. Staff: Very helpful and polite.

Breakfast: The breakfast was rather poor. It is worthwhile having breakfast in nearby cafe.Safe: Wasn't functioning.

Really lovely room, very spacious. Very helpful welcoming staff. 5*. I really enjoyed the breakfast being delivered to the room. Excellent Orange juice and coffee.

I wasn't used to the noisy street outside at night. But being a central location, I guess that's to be expected. Fab location for getting to all the museums on foot and shopping. .

Lovely comfortable room. Living area and desk was a nice touch. The breakfast was really good, served in your room. Very good location, walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Kitchen was very small so couldn't really be used for anything other than tea/coffee. No view from the window.
