- NOTHING! I ended up not staying as the advertise Star level and hotel description did not match the reality. Outdated dirty hotel with homeless people in front.
- The location was very convenient
- The room was clean and cosy. The location was great and close to lots of places and public transport.

- NOTHING! I ended up not staying as the advertise Star level and hotel description did not match the reality. Outdated dirty hotel with homeless people in front.
- During my stay, I had a very unpleasant and alarming experience. I received a WhatsApp message informing me that a maintenance person might enter the room to fix a heating issue and asking for my authorization. However, while I was asleep, someone tried to force the door to enter my room. Fortunately, I had the door locked and they could not get in.I had not seen the message, nor had I given any authorization, yet they insisted on entering, knocking repeatedly and attempting to open the door. Waking up to this situation caused a lot of panic and discomfort. Maintenance visits should always be properly scheduled and only carried out when the room is vacant or with the guest’s explicit confirmation.

In all, I like that they give you a key to the main door , I hate the hassle of waiting for staff to open doors for me . I like that there’s a mini kitchen there + pots & pans
They said no smoking , but seems as a lot of people smoke in the rooms , it smelled like pure cigarettes.
It was clean, the heater, the location and the stuff was nice
The location was okay
It was an old bulging of apartment turn into a “hotel” but in a precarious way. The place was really smelly, with poor ventilation.
Location; non share bathroom; decent heat output
Old?; very little sound proofing
This is the place to stay if you want to be right in the centre of town but not pay an fortune and still get a good night's sleep.
The refurbishment is a bit patchy, watch your toes on the flooring.
The location is perfect. Near three Metro stations. And in the heart of Grand Via near all the points of interest.
The room was in need of renovation. The shower water pressure was good and the hot water was perfect, the only problem was the size and the poor design where if you are not careful water will run on the floor and possibly be a serious issue.
We booked a terrace room. The young women who checked us in were friendly, but there was no effort made to orient us as guest or to offer assistance with restaurant suggestions. We were struck too that the keys were real, old school metal keys rather than magnetic cards. The mattress was comfortable.
We found the whole place a little down on its heels. During two days we were there there were apology notices in elevator indicating that the heating system was being fixed and workers may have to enter rooms. Our AC unit seemed stuck on heat, which made sleeping hot/difficult. The bed had 2 pillows. We are accustomed to 4 pillows so you can easily prop yourself up and read or watch TV. The shower had a nice fancy spray nozzle set up, but the partial enclosure meant that the water sprayed out onto the floor, making all the bells and whistles worthless. There was no coffee in the room but they supplied a coffee maker. Our adjacent neighbor went out on her terrace each night (2:00am) and had loud phone conversations which disturbed our sleep. One day one of the two elevators was broken. All in all not a great experience.
it’s very well located
it doesn’t matter when you’re reading this comment. it makes no difference whether you’re reading it a week after i wrote it or a year later, nothing will have changed. how do i know that? because before we went, we also read many old reviews saying bad things and thought, “oh, they’ve probably had time to improve.” but literally nothing had changed.i’ll start with the obvious points you’ll find in any review here:the walls are extremely thin, and you can hear every single sound from the other rooms. since it’s a tourist area, people from different nationalities don’t necessarily share the same standards of politeness, and there were lots of people talking loudly in the hallways.they don’t offer room cleaning service. i stayed for four days, and my room was never cleaned during that time.and the most serious issue in my case, because i wasn’t on vacation, i was working remotely. the hotel only has wifi near the reception and maybe in the two rooms closest to the elevator. i stayed on the second floor, room 215. the same day i checked in, i told them there was no internet. they said they would call a technician. i asked to change rooms, and the next day they offered room 207, a bit closer to the elevator but still far. same thing, no internet at all. i literally had to do my meetings with my laptop sitting in the hotel hallway. and on top of that, not even 5g works.note to the hotel: this is an easy problem to fix. just install more access points or repeaters, make sure there’s signal in the distant rooms, test it. this isn’t a recurring expense, it’s a one-time cost, buy, test, and that’s it. and when you say to a client you’re going to call a technician, call the technician.

Stinky room (cigarette)Not well maintained Very uncomfortable mattressToo much internal noise (walls are too thin)
Not much. At least the room was clean... Breakfast buffet looked good and staff were attentive and helpful across the street at it.
When I arrived I tried to turn on the air conditioner, there was no power to the thermostat. I noticed the fuse box door was open and a breaker labeled for the AC was off. I turned the breaker on, and set the thermostat to cool. Not warm air came out for a second and then warm air - I guess that's why the breaker was off. I notified the front desk staff and they mumbled something about another unit that needed servicing. This was on a Saturday, and I had no confidence this would be repaired the next day on Sunday. Later, one of the desk staff offered me a free drink for this across the street after speaking with a manager. I didn't use it after my sleepless night (with earplugs) with the windows open and the loud vehicle noises and screaming from the street below. I checked out after one night of the three I booked. This caused me to contact Booking.com for a full refund. On another note, there's a kitchen with a small number of accessories; however, there is not a single drain in the unit that has a stopper. I don't know how you could possible do dishes. Also, there is only daily maid service for stays longer than 6 days - kind of a joke. Finally - the elevator to the 17th floor where this is located is a death trap. I'm pretty sure there's no inspection sticker in it. My wife was caught between the doors and I had to manually tug them open to get her out!
Basic stay with a very central location.
We stayed 4 nights and no cleaning service was provided.
the location was ok
There were no blankets, just bed sheets; the shower floor was cracked, the corkscrew was broken, the TV rack was rusty and did not move properly, most of the power outlets were broken, and the hallways smelled like paint thinner. We expected more.
It was very central
The room didn’t have any windows so it was terrible to be there on daytime, if you will get a place here get the ones with views or other ones, otherwise it is very overwhelming place.
I liked that there is a kitchenette and the AC worked extremely well.
It’s a very basic room and very small. The walls are thin.
Location is perfect. 2min walking from Santo Domingo metro station over Gran Vía, line 2.The place is exactly as described, for the Location, the value is more than appropriate. Clear instructions provided before arrival.
The only low is that you can hear all the noice from Gran Vía.
The location was great and the breakfast (1 block away) is excellent. You get a lot for the price. The room even had a small kitchen.
The wifi was not the quickest and I found no A/C which could be needed in Madrid's summer.
It was basic but good enough. Easy check in.
The bathroom was quite uncomfortable and small
