- The entrance is a bit strange because it's in side street and lobby is in 6th floor. But it does not really matter.
- odd shower that had a cool design to look at but water got everywhere on the bathroom floor and there was no curtain or door

Very friendly staff. And every day the housekeeping came twice. In the night to put some sweets on the bed and clean if you were in the room on the afternoon. Magnefic! Also location was perfect and christmas decoration!
Nothing actually.
Convenient and clean. Good facilities.
Cocktails not great….
Excellent central location, excellent service and very quiet. Felt like home.
No water provided for free in the room when the room was heated and I felt dehydrated in the morning.
Location and staff
Rooms size and furniture average does not worth the high price
Location was perfect. Staff was attentive. Bed and pillows were out of this world. And the decor was lovely.
Room was small. For $500 plus US dollars a night, I would have expected something more. A croisant in the morning, perhaps? The wine pour in the bar was one of the stingiest I'd ever seen.
Amazing location, wonderful service, clean and spacious rooms’
Excellent Location and nice historic building.
Service ok, but not great (reception and bar).Very overpriced for what it was. We hooked the free hotel taxi from the airport and also said it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary (which it was). Got forgotten at the airport, only a very half hearted apology by reception and no acknowledgement of our anniversary. All in all, it's was a little underwhelming.
The location was good, but not excellent. The breakfast was tasty and there was a wide variety. The room was comfortable, but lacked space. The cleaning service in the morning (9 am) in the corridor was noisy.
The room size is limited. The price was high in my view. The noise on Saturday morning (9 am) by the cleaning staff in the corridors. The location was average.
Everything was just perfect. And I have to mention Rafael who organzied the perfect breakfast in the busy mornings. I celebrated my birthday in Atico restaurant and it exceeded all our expectations. Thank you!
I really really appreciated how kind, efficient, discreet every single person in the hotel was, from the doorman to people at reception. Specially all room service staff. Everyone was EXTRAORDINARY. A BIG BIG thank you to all of you. I will definitely 100% go back there for my trips to Madrid.
The staff were friendly, the food was excellent, the lovely cocktail terrace , breakfast on the balcony, the room was very pleasant, comfortable and perfectly clean, the little chocolates etc from the evening turn down service a nice memorable touch. Great location too.
The room was a little too hot at night but a minor thing.
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location with great facilities - lovely restaurant and outdoor bar terrace spaces. The staff were wonderful and treated me exceptionally well on my birthday with a room upgrade and champagne & cake delivered to me.
We absolutely loved The Principle Hotel, the easy transportation from the airport to the hotel, the location, the staff, the rooms, the views and the delicious breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel.
The staff are really very very very nice and helpful The location is good as well
The room need cleaning also the water they should put a closed one not refilled from the the tank
Lovely luxurious room.Great locationLovely staff. Good massage
No sauna or gym despite advertising they did. Possibly under refurbishment Oh and the lift is not good for claustrophobic people!
The location was perfect. We had the junior suite that was spacious enough for two adults 1 child. The staff were all wonderful , curtious and very friendly
This is a swanky, beautiful hotel that's equidistant from the Prado on one side and the Palace/Plaza Major on the other, so an easy 20 walk to virtually anywhere. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, from getting us a quick coffee every morning to calling for taxis (we needed large ones for our family). They also arrange the transfers to/from airport for ease. Love the chic decor, the terraces for relaxing and the beautifully appointed rooms.
