Hotel Esplugues

Pros +

• Good clean room. Good clean powerfull shower. Lovely market near hotel on Saturday morning. Nice cafe, bars and restaurants near by.
• This hotel is really nice and clean and comfortable. The staff is great too

Cons -

• It took over 40 mins to get to Central Barcelona with 2 changes via tram/metro. Not very close at all. Breakfast was very limited no buffet available. Also my son doesn't drink coffee so he got a milkshake from local shop but wasnt allowed to drink it with us at breakfast. Abit silly as no option for children available at hotel. No kettle in room either. We later discovered the cafe around the corner so I wouldn't bother with breakfast at hotel. Anyhow when we arrived window was left open in room and the room was full of flies. Wasn't very pleasant. We booked 2 twin rooms and requested for them to be next door to each other or same floor which hotel confirmed we could have but when we arrived after a long flight we had rooms 2 floors apart. Not good for us as a family sharing a suitcase! Finally experienced the most odd request having travelled lots have never been asked to leave the keys at reception before leaving the hotel in the morning. And had to collect again when came back. Overall ok but don't expect much. Probably better paying a bit more and being closer to centre. Most staff were friendly apart from this older lady on one day who was not very friendly.
