Cons -
- There were no nice extra things? Like teatime at 4 o?clock in the hotel or a way tomake tea in the room. No Milk for coffee and a biscuit. Things like that make a big differenc. Also-no lounge or terrace or access to one of the private gardens to elevate.
- promised bags in our room when we returned. nobody offered to help us. 7 stair sets..stifling lack of air of any kind, tiny room chunky furniture=no space. undersized bed on rollers can't be locked. No bkfst delivery offered. Horrible.
- The rooms were quite small as was the bed. But still we loved our stay. Also we were on the third floor with lots of steps and there is no lift so the trek up with our bags was quite an effort. If someone was our of shape, this hotel would not be good.

Nice amenities in room. Room service breakfast was lovely, sadly due to size and layout of room we couldnâ≢t eat together.
No sign of any staff at reception on check in. Left waiting for ages, resorted to knocking loudly on door to find staff with NO apology when someone eventually arrived. Allocated a single room, 1 towel, 1 coffee cup, 1 wine glass. Very disappointing.
During our 10 day holiday in Ireland and Scotland, the Nira Caledonia was by far our best experience on the trip. The room was impeccable, but the service was truly superb. The staff was gracious and knowledgeable, attentive without being underfoot.
Loved the suite that we stayed in. Breakfast that was provided was well above average. Staff was top notch and the hotel was spotless.
Nothing. We loved everything about the Nira.
Good location. Pretty.
Weak plumbing. Water pressure bad. No elevator. Not very helpful concierge.
good location and well appointed - good size of bedroom and bathroom
Heating did not work in Bedroom which should have been picked up by managemnet and housekeeping - temporary heaters were not adequate - advised front desk on departure but no follow up from management
Beautifully appointed in a quiet area with access to restaurants and shops. Staff was top notch.
Bed was had and uncomfortable. We could not control the temperature of room.
Great location, clean tidy room with nice decoration and high ceilings and all amenities. Located on a quiet street so no outside noise. Good breakfast. Overall wonderful.
The building is nice but old, therefore the sounds from the hall can be heard at all hours, occasionally being a bit inconvenient. Also the bathroom was really tiny but we did book the smallest room so fair enough.
Location. But NOT a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination.
It was like staying in a DIY basement AirBNB conversion. Phone didn’t work. Heater was broken the first day. No outlets in tiny bathroom, tiny sink, mismatched everything (not in a cute way). Paper thin walls!!! Weird stain on ceiling. Patio covered in bird crap. VERY EXPENSIVE. Housekeeping left the patio door open twice and also through away our wine. NEVER AGAIN!
Elegant, luxurious, comfortable room. Great food at restaurant.
The stairs, my God the stairs
Loved the staff. Kyle was great!
The room was quite small for our luggage and the bed was very hard.
The hotel is in a perfect location. Walkable to all the main sites yet in a very calm neighborhood. Would definitely come back to stay here. The building is beautiful.
There is no elevator which they had mentioned in advance. Walking up two flights of stairs that are crooked can be tricky but it was manageable. The bathtub with all its gadgets was aged and not inviting. Simple bathtubs would make it look cleaner.
Beautiful property. Location was perfect. And staff, particularly Abby, went above and beyond to help with luggage, transportation and restaurants. Can’t say enough positive things bings about Abby. It wasA perfect place for our visit.
I liked everything. Especially staff. Particularly Abby.
Good location, nicely decorated and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
No A/C, which would be more useful taking the moisture out of the air than anything else. The room was very damp, curtains were wet due to the high humidity in the room. Also, that tub/shower is a nightmare to get in and out of.
A super area to stay, away from the busy streets of tourists. Definitely a hip place, with Stockbridge only minutes away full of cool cafes, pubs and second hand/charity shopping. The staff were also so helpful and accommodating.
The water pressure was too low in the sink.
Lovely building in a quiet area and close to town. Staff were fantastic and breakfast was great.
Our room was a little cold due to the radiator not working.
Great room, loved the garden view, loved the ambiance. Spacious bathroom, quality toiletries, very clean. Great assistance from day staff
I hate the lack of soundproofing. My room was on the first floor, and if someone is speaking loudly on the ground floor it feels like they're right at your door. I understand the charm of the old building and doors but it is quite annoying.
Great Friendly staff, Very nice hotel, Great breakfast, easy check in and out very happy with our one night stay
nothing at all everything as expected
