Bespoke service and top quality fine dining experience
Lounge area , comfortable bed
The room was fantastic. Old school charm and feelings, but definitely kept up well. The bed was probably the most comfortable we had in our two week trip in four hotels. Concierge staff was great!
Breakfast was good, but lacked of options.
Very cute and comfortable room.
There were no blinds on the windows that worked. The room was incredibly small.
The hotel was beautiful. Although the room was small it was well appointed. The staff were awesome. Alexander went above and beyond to find my husband a doctor. Lucy was always cheerful and helpful when waiting on us in the dining room.
Location was only an 8 min walk to the trams & train. Quiet residential area. Staff was fantastic. Especially Alexander and Maya!
Location
Bedroom was appalling small for a 5 star hotel. £600 per room and it was tiny
The location was great, the beds were so comfortable, and the staff were lovely. I also really liked how the lobby smelled and the dining area was a beautiful place to have meals. The food was very good in the restaurant!
Our room was on the ground floor of their building across the street, and sometimes people would walk closely by the windows, which was startling. We also ordered room service and it was forgotten one morning.
Gorgeous building
It wasn’t clear that our room would be below ground level facing a wall and in a building across the street. It didn’t quite have the charm we were looking for.
Beautiful hotel with very welcoming staff
Located out of the city and had to drive and park in the city which adds another 20-30 pounds/day
The pillows, bed, and comforter were very comfortable. The shower products specifically the “Scot’s pine” scent smelled incredible & even the smell when you walk into the property smells heavenly!! I loved it so much I asked if they sold a candle or room spray in that scent (unfortunately they don’t). I also really appreciated the congratulations card and treats on our bed when we arrived it made our honeymoon feel even more special :) I was also a fan of the cookies in the room. Also the gentleman who checked us in and showed me to my room was very nice and personable helping us with recommendations on where to go during our stay.
The toilet takes a while to flush & I wish the room had AC, it got a little hot in there at times
This is beautiful hotel which is meticulously maintained and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The layout of the property was just a little confusingVvv
It was set just far away from the hustle and bustle..about a 40 minute walk to the Castle which we enjoyed. The staff were friendly and excellent.
Nothing!
The attention to detail with the staff is amazing! Such a warm and inviting place.
The location of our room was on the bottom floor in a basement. The room was small but they did do their best making it very comfortable and with a lot of extra details.
The staff were very helpful, the hotel is in 2 different buildings opposite each other. The room was very comfortable albeit compact. The bonus was there was a lovely conservatory that guests could use with access to the garden. Very pleasant stay.
Beautiful hotel, very welcoming member of staff on arrival.
we were invited to book breakfast on our first morning of a 2 night stay. 8.30 am table confirmed at check in. On arrival the following morning there were actually no tables available. We were asked to sit at a sofa and take drinks while we waited, not ideal but also not terrible for a short wait. 10 minutes later, no drinks, no communication, and there was also another guest already waiting ahead of us like this. It was apparent that none of the occupied tables were even close to being finished with their breakfasts (either still waiting to be served food or food just arriving) so we were forced to leave and find breakfast elsewhere.2nd night's stay we were woken up at 5.50am by a member of the hotel staff trying to enter our room! he was actually trying to remove the safety latch with his fingers through the door, unbelievable! apparently someone had requested an early check out from our room no? not us.all in all I had high hopes from a luxury hotel, however not a great experience for us.
Incredibly comfortable room and bed, lovely staff, fantastic bathroom and toiletries and a generous breakfast.
Some of the staff, although very kind and sweet, sadly didn’t seem trained or comfortable doing their jobs. Orders at breakfast were taken wrong twice and the bar staff seemed very awkward, slow and unsure making relatively basic cocktails / drinks. At the steep price per night / per drink - the overall service and product needs to be absolutely impeccable. A little disappointing overall.
