I liked everything Staff are brilliant nothing is too much trouble. Beds showers clean Location perfect within walking distance of pubs restaurants clubs railway station. You can get an Edinburgh Black Cab very easily to anywhere in Edinburgh . Loads of places of interest to visit. Breakfast provided at Kick Ass West Port Grass market . Perfect view of the Castle. All in all perfect place to stay be in short or long stay

Great location Friendly environment After many years, this was my first experience staying in a hostel as a solo traveller. I must say I enjoyed it and had a pleasant stay. However, it may have been due to the time of year (Hogmanay), but the staff were a bit brief in their responses and not very helpful with the Wi-Fi, which I was unable to connect to throughout my stay.

The WIFI _ being that there are a bit of stairs to climb for those with heavy bags....the overnight locker policy was a little bit of a disapointment

I was not able to connect to the Wi-Fi the downstairs Overnight locker policy for heavy bags was a little disappointing

It is very good price and there are a lot of options. The staff is nice, very kind and helpful

The room design is very basic, windows are dirty and always open even in February. Pods are, though very convenient, stuffy during night, as there is no ventilation. Bathrooms, on the other hand I felt needed different design to feel cleaner

Everything was perfect, toilets, showers and the kitchen were always clean.The view from the windows was beautiful. The staff was amazing, always super kind and helpful.

I'd just suggest a bit more care with the laundering of the bedsheets and pillow hygiene.

We loved staying at Kick Ass it was fantastic, clean, right at the heart of the city centre, the staff were super nice and kind, making sure we’re comfortable at all times. It definitely won’t be the last time we come here. Thank you very much for the great hospitality

There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like about Kick Ass.

The staff were friendly and it was very close to the center.

I couldn't get hot water while showering. Also, the room and the linens smelled terrible.

Staf was friendly, facilites were clean and the privacy was respected among the guests.☺️Loved the toilets on 2nd floor (208) super colourful!

Could do with a kettle

The staff is very friendly and the overall atmosphere too. Lots of activities to join. The facilities were clean, the bed was comfortable.

The hostel has a very good location. The capsule rooms are also very good and provide a good level of privacy. The hostel has an adequate number of bathrooms and showers. The staff is friendly, and the hostel offers breakfast, laundry facilities with washing machines, and is well organized. The breakfast is simple, but given the relatively low price, it offers good value for money.

The Wi-Fi signal did not work well and was almost unusable in my room. The hostel has many stairs, and the rooms — at least the one I stayed in — have around 22 beds. For light sleepers, the frequent coming and going of guests in the room may be an issue.

The place was just amazing. It was a 2 minute's walk to the old town and maybe 15 minutes to Waverley bridge. It was very atmospheric and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The capsule/pod/bed was more spacious than I had expected and the mattress was comfortable enough. The curtain really gave me privacy. There was a power outlet and control buttons for the lights. The toilets and bathrooms were great, since they were many and clean. This was my first time traveling solo and sleeping in a hostel and I felt very safe.

The sheets felt a bit damp, but i suppose that's normal considering the humidity level in Edinburgh. I wouldn't consider it a problem.

Awesome value, places to sleep in edinburgh are usually super pricy. Bed was comfy, staff helpful, solid environment.

The room was really hot, understandable considering the amount of folk in it but still. Shower wouldnt do hot water one morning.

The location. This place might be great if you are into party and not interessted in sleeping too much and don‘t have standards in hygiene too much (showers had mold)

The people who are there are mostly into party, meaning no respect for people who want to sleep. I know that is not the hostels fault, but even in hallways people talked extremely loud in the night and you can hear anything happening on the same floor, like closing doors. Shower had mold and if you are in a bunkers room, no privacy there, meaning now curtains or so.I checked out earlier because it wasn‘t bearable, and the staff didn’t really react on reason why i checked out earlier.

Staff was great.

Wifi barely worked and the building has no reception. When a girl was snoring loudly in my room I tried to listen to some calming music but the lack of internet made it impossible.

Location was great. Shared toilets were clean.

The pod was pretty hot

I can’t say anything bad about this property . I’ve stayed twice now it’s so easy to book and settle into Edinburgh on your first day. Good sleep area and showers

The overall quality of the place, Bathrooms were absoloutely private, the staff were very nice, beds were incredibly comfortable, most of the things were over my expectations

I'm going to make this a very honest review I stayed at the hostel and I upgraded to a pod I went and walk around Edinburgh at a few beers than came back to the hostel at half seven I went to sleep and I woke up at half nine the pod was full of condensation and felt damp I went down stairs to get two cans of iron Brew what cost me five pounds a bit expensive for two comes off pop anywhere's I went back to the pod and I went to sleep as I walk up in the morning the pod was full of condensation and the blanket and the Pillar fell all dump not very good night sleep anyways I went to the shower cubicle and I had a shower I could not see my face in the mirror to have a shave because the full place was full of condensation I don't want to be nasty but the stuff was very good it's got a great location but if you can pick up the condensation you will be fine but I was not???????

It’s very modern and the design is quite colorful and inviting. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is amazing.

Sometimes people didn’t leave behind the baths that cleanly, which wasn’t really the staffs fault.
