Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel NEW

High ceilings. Good location. Dog friendly.Visiting while I was on crutches. Apart from the steps on entrance no issues with accessibility. Staff were very nice and offered to help with breakfast.

The breakfast was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful and close to nearby attractions.

I only stay 1 stay night wished it was longer

The breakfast was modest, but good. The staff was very pleasant.

The rooms do need a refurbishment.

Excellent location, spacious room and friendly, helpful staff and great value for money.

Rooms need an upgrade and breakfast ingredients weren't the best quality but I didn't expect them to be for the price.

The location was reasonably good, a little further out than I would have preferred (my fault). The room was a great size. Staff friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable. Nice to have a bath with buckets of hot water.

Breakfast was a not really to my taste.The scrambled egg was odd.Croissants stale.Not nice coffee. The room needed smartening up

The room was stunning, very spacious, had what I needed. Very clean, bathroom was clean and had what I needed. Staff were lovely and helpful. It was a lovely room and I really enjoyed my stay

the mattress and pillows were hard and not very comfortable, there were no plugs near to the bedside table

the hotel is close to the city center and Dean Village. good and various breakfast. safe box in the room.

the bathroom and the room were dirty. the bathroom appliances are rusty. uncomfortable bed.

the room I was in badly needed redecorated, the bathroom was very old and there was a big crack on the ceiling that had been filled in. also smaller than I thought it would be.

We were really happy with the hotel. You reach the inner city quickly by bus or by walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was exactly what we wanted. My partner needed to work from the room and was able todo so thanks to the big table. There were also two big couch seats in the room that were nice to just rest in after walking all day . The breakfast was they best we had so far in a hotel. The buffet includes a chef that makes the british breakfast fresh for you. It was a perfect start for the day. I think the the price/value for this hotel is exactly right .We would definitely choose this hotel again.

Great location & staff. Only 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. Staff were all lovely & attentive. Dinner & Breakfast were good quality. Room had been cleaned well.

The hotel itself needs a refurbishment. Tired hallways & rooms.To give an example, the carpet in our room was heavily stained & needed replacing. The bathrooms need a makeover, not expecting to see such traditional style & a shower curtain.The room was clean but cleaners have their work cut out to make rooms look clean with issues noted above.

Carpet stained

Fab location, 15-20 minutes stroll from Royal Mile, close to zoo and across the road from station so public transport easy. Staff were extremely friendly.

It was a bit dusty, it's an old building in an old city so wouldnt complain about it. Only a small thing.. didn't effect our stay

The hotel is dated and probably could have done with a little bit of a better clean, but I was able to overlook this with the helpful, friendly staff, fantastic location and value for money.

Creaky floor boards and damaged items in the room. The bathroom could also have done with a deep clean.

Staff was polite and welcome. Location of hotel and room view was good. Breakfast was good.

Cleanliness. There was a hair on the shower curtain. Toilet wasn't clean properly too. When we arrived in the room there wasn't toilet paper and soap to wash our hands.

Facilities weren't clean, not even on the basic level and they were looking old.

The welcome from the staff was excellent including at the bar and breakfast time, room was huge, very comfortable bed, breakfast was very good. It is very central with a buses on the doorstop to anywhere you really need to get to for Edinburgh so good location!

We know the hotel is to be closed for a huge refurbishment and that was clear it was needed as the whole public areas were well worn, peeling paintwork, and in the bedroom with very tired décor, very worn carpet and old fashioned bathroom, the lights in the room were not very good and room was very dark!
