Towel heater didn't work well. Dishwasher wasn't attached to walk and kept falling forward when using it.

The location of the hotel is very good. It fits perfectly for family type stays in terms of possibility of having 2 bedrooms connected.

the overall conditions such as renovation needs improvement.

The room was spacious, great room darkening curtains, and nicely decorated.

Could have had a spare comfortable sitting chair in addition to the couch.

We loved the apartment/studio #334. Great space, wonderful kitchen, and amazing big windows and view. Terrific location. If we ever come back I want the same room!

My only complaints are that one of the lifts did not work and the hall carpets were stained and unattractive - particularly in the lobby. Needs a good cleaning.

Location was perfect for us. Parking was a bit of a challenge but worked out fine once we found it.

Room was pretty cramped for four people. We all just had a carry-on bag and there was really nowhere to put/store everyone's luggage.

The room was a good size despite having a mini kitchen built in. The facilities were excellent. Cooking for self catering was easily done. The bed and bedding were extremely comfy. The hotel was quiet and the staff really friendly and helpful.

I am not keen on coffee pod machines so don't use it and would have preferred a cafetière in the room. On reflection I could have asked for one!

Excellent location at slightly less touristy end of the Royal Mile, easy walk from Waverley Station. Beautiful building with an interesting history, very nicely renovated. We stayed for 10 days, so I used the kitchenette more than most people might, and found it reasonably well-equipped.

Excellent location. Clean rooms and staff was attentive. Good price for such a central location. Room was warm and had a nice view.

The water temperature in the shower was scalding hot and as much as we tried we couldn't find a way to turn it down. The bed was one of those beds you can put away, which meant there was a permanent gap between the bed and the wall. It made it a bit uncomfortable to sit on the bed to watch tv. The room was clean, but they don't offer housekeeping service unless you ask for it and pay.

Great location, especially for train station and Royal Mile. The room contained all you could need for a stay. Didn’t have breakfast but gladly had some free fruit as we left.

Nothing to dislike really.

The location is absolutely great. Perfect for exploring old town. The front desk staff were all very kind and helpful. The room layout worked well for our family.

I felt the washer and dryer facilities left our clothes smelling a bit moldy. The front load washers likely just need a really good cleaning. As soon as you open the door, mildew is the first smell that hits you. For the cost per person of breakfast, the quality didn’t match. For £20 per person, I was surprised to see powdered eggs and soggy hash browns. This was minor though. We just decided to eat our breakfast off property.

Great location. Very comfortable, clean, nice design with small kitchenette and sofabed and tables. The games and reading materials in the lobby were great! Breakfast was very nice spread. We were very happy with our stay.

I didn’t like the concept of no cleaning service if you booked for less than 8 nights

The location was perfection. It's quite literally right on the edge of everything close enough that you can pop out and make your way to whatever thing you want to see, but also just far enough that you're not in the middle of what I imagine at some points during the year is too many people. The room is clean, comfortable and large and having a full kitchen was such a plus. I plan on going back as we didn't have enough time in the city, and I will 100% definitely stay here again.

The only thing that we didn't like, and I think it was just by virtue of the room that we got, was the bathroom. And I don't know if all the bathrooms were like this or if it was just because we got a handicap bathroom. But It's just a big open room with a drain on the floor, and when you take a shower, the entire floor is wet for hours.

Washing room available but only accept coins. You can not pay using your phone or card.

I liked everything about this hotel, the location, the kind staff, room was beautiful and big, there was a little kitchen nook and a fridge. Plenty of space to store everything, from suitcase to clothes to shopping bags.

Excellent location, great spaces throughout the hotel, and our rooms were excellent as well. You can tell they put a lot of effort into keep a well appointed hotel. Staff was very kind. We arrived at 7:30am and left our bags. We used the washroom to freshen up after our flight and then walked around town until check in at 3pm. Everything was great!

It was expensive! But from what I gather, everything in Edinburgh is. We certainly paid for location, but otherwise I still thought it was expensive.

Great location right on the Royal Mile. Comfortable room. Heating and a/c worked well. Helpful staff. Great that it had a washer/drier on site

Shower was awkward to climb into - high walls on the tub and no safety bars.
