EVERYTHING about the place is good

Large apartment easily accessible. Service staff were amazing and very helpful.

It was very cold weather and snow during our stay. The apartment was drafty and cold but we did have extreme cold weather.

Well presented, clean, great location.

A full length mirror in both bedrooms would have been helpful.

Great location, the room was a really good size and comfortable. Well laid out and the kitchen was very handy and well stocked with tea and coffee etc. The bed was a brilliant size, fairly comfortable but that is a very selective subject! Overall a very comfortable stay. We arrived after dark, so the surprise of the amazing view of the castle outside was amazing the next day

It was ground floor level which gave an excellent view and volume of the 4am fight outside, however that isn’t really the fault of the premises, to be fair it was a Saturday night and the Rugby had been on that day!!But, if you are a light sleeper maybe request a higher room, it would be worth it to enjoy all the positives about the premises.

The 2nd bedroom is basically a box with a double bed. There's no ventilation at all so need to sleep with the door open. I can only imagine how hot it would be in the summer!

It was spotless clean, very comfortable and on a good location, close to tram and buses and close enough to old town.

I didn't mind but if you are in the high room numbers you will need to exercise your legs. A good amount of steps will wait for your arrival.

Right in the centre of everything. Super friendly staff. The apartment was so lovely, really clean and more than everything that you would need. Could not fault our stay. A must stay!

We were booked into a studio apartment but when we got there it was a one bedroom so it was a nice surprise to get an upgrade. The apartment was very spacious and do clean not speak of dust anywhere. There is no cooking facilities but if you ask for a hob they will give you one. You also get iron and iron board, kettle, microwave, fairy liquid, scourer, tea towel and there is a fridge and microwave. There is also a smart tv , we were greeted warmly on arrival and the man who met us was lovely and very friendly and informative. The bed was so comfy and loved the big fluffy towels in the bathroom and the shower was good. All the staff are lovely and friendly too and he whole hotel is spotless and very good location and would recommend anyone to stay there

The stairs as there isn’t a lift but it’s great exercise so don’t really mind

How unsupportive the staff were. We were kept up from midnight right through to 04.15AM with the apartment next door playing loud music and having sex constantly every hour it was absolutely disgusting! The numbers you are given to call for emergencies, and any complaints were not answered to me and they didn’t reply until the morning at 9am and they did not seem bothered at all. I have complained to booking.com about this to request a night refunded back to me. It was absolutely shocking! Having to travel home 4hrs on 3hrs sleep was horrendous. I would not recommend staying here and will never stay here again.

The property was clean, with great facilities and in a great location. The staff were extremely helpful.

Everything was great, but one issue slightly impacted our experience.The environment, design, and quality of services were truly satisfying, but the reception was closed even during their working hours, which caused some inconvenience for us. When we needed assistance, there was no access, and it felt like we were on our own throughout our stay.If this issue gets resolved, staying at this place would be a flawless experience.

Location and staff

The second bedroom was a box room with 2 doors and no external window or ventilation

Everything! Wonderful staff so friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean with excellent location and everything you could need. Would recommend to anyone fabulous ❤️

The room was exceptional. The receptionist was there to meet us too, happy and helpful. The bed was one of the best I had slept in! The room itself was warm and welcoming and beautifully clean with everything we needed.

Brilliant location

No lift. Draft coming through old wooden windows. Very noisy at night. No key for room. Keypad code didn't feel very secure

Location was ideal, as we were going to a show at The assembly rooms, Room was in basement with a garden access, it had everything you could possibly want for your stay. They also include a discount voucher for Hanover 71 cafe/bistro where we had a delicious breakfast. We would definitely stay here again, although perhaps in warmer weather, as the room was not very warm and the electric heater supplied clicked on and off the whole night?

The temperature of the rooms, particularly the toilet was Freezing ?

Great big spacious room, well appointed, big bed, nice linen, good sized towels. Great location.

Wardrobe and hanging space …. Tiny awkward wardrobe. In Edinburgh for a wedding - needed some proper hanging space ..
