self check-in and check out was so easy, location of the hotel very convenient. Our stay in this hotel was excellent, room clean and tidy with everything you need, definitely plan to stay at Joivy our next visit!

Fresh fruit and coffee

Great location, clean, warm, freel coffee/tea machine, free fruit and biscuits in communal space. Easy online check-in.

Very small room, TV wasn't working well.

You should open the window for the next customer, because when I arrived, the room smelled like food.

Great location in Edinburgh, very close to all the major tourist sites, bars, and restaurants. The communal areas were lovely, and there were plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits available. Room was warm and the bed was comfy so good for a short stay.

We wish we had known about the luggage situation before planning our trip, as it meant that on the day we checked out we had to spend £40 to store our bags in a corner shop up the road. That wasn’t ideal. The shower also had long dark hairs in it, there was black mould, and it smelled of drains. The water pressure wasn’t very strong either.

Perfect location,nice restaurants nearby and also M&S supermarket.2 min walking to the tram and only 20 min to Princess Gardens.

Mattress for bed needs changing

Great location, half way between Murrayfield & Princes Street - easy walk either way. Large room, nicely decorated.

Bathroom was extremely small, shower door and tile grout had mould on them. Brighter lighting would have helped.Had expected a microwave in the room.

I flew into Edinburgh for a match at Murrayfield and the location was perfect for this - very easy to get to the hotel and then walk to the stadium. Also very easy to walk into the city centre from the hotel.

not being able to leave our luggage at the hotel prior to check in and/or after check out was very disappointing. The alternatives offered by the hotel were handy enough, but it was a faff we could have done without.Also, despite the majority of the hotel being nicely presented and clean, the showers in both of our rooms had black mould. They weren't disgusting by any measure, but not clean in comparison to the rest of the hotel.

Budget hotel

Room was too noisy. Lots of loud pipe noise when anyone in the building had a shower. Really bright light in hall that shone through room window and poorly fitting curtain that didn’t block it out. No staff

All well, but no room cleaning, i was there three nights, and very very small indeed, also the size of the bed was too small and I hit my head because of that.

The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The Haymarket Location is great for trips to Murrayfield, and only a short hop away from the city centre. The coffee machine downstairs is also a plus. Overall, this place offered good value for money in an expensive city.

The room was slightly dated in places, but nothing too much to complain about. The bathroom was OK overall, but sink didn't drain very quickly, which was slightly frustrating.

The property was across the road from Haymarket station which was very convenient. The room was comfortable also and just what I needed for an overnight stay. I did find a few hairs in the bathroom and a few crumbs on the carpet.

I was on the top floor (room 13 - single room) so up 2 flights of stairs. There’s no lift; I’m not sure if I missed this detail in the description before booking but if you have a sizeable suitcase you might want to go for another room.

The check-in process was extremely easy via mobile phone and the room was exactly everything I needed in a superb location close to the tram and train station. The bed was very comfortable and I slept with the window open. Tunnock's treats were a bonus!

I couldn't sit on the loo without my thigh bumping against the sink, but this was the only complaint.

Location was great and overall room was quite and comfortable. close to station to go both into town and towards stadium etc. Alot of great pubs very close by and easy flat walk into town and tourist spots. Heating worked great!, wifi was fine and the shared spaces are nice for a beer with friends and meeting people.

I stayed in a single bed room and to be honest was a bit disappointed. The bed was fine, but the duvet barely covered the edge of the bed all round. This made the sleep itself not so great and uncomfortable unless you are a statue when sleeping.Also the shower head was almost not usable. Pressure was great! and shower size is fine.. but the head needs replacing and just not practical.. maybe was just my room.

Although very close to Haymarket the room was quiet and had the feeling of being secluded. Room was large and comfortably furnished. There's a fridge, kettle, plates, cutlery and plentiful tea, coffee and milk available. There's also a surprisingly well appointed communal area with a good coffee machine and fruit - for FREE! Good shower in the room.

The bedside lamps were not conducive to reading.

Location opposite Haymarket station. No staff, 3rd floor and no lift, unfortunately. Building felt safe. Good for food outlets.
