    Pros +

    • Quiet in the room, amazing double bed with curtain for privacy.
    • Clean and nicely furnished hostel in a lovely part of the city, around 25 mins walk to the centre. There was a great bar area to socialise serving a wide selection of drinks.. There were 9 people in our party, so we took one 9 bed dorm with a bathroom. Bunk beds were comfy and rooms were spotless. The receptionist/bar maid was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks
    • Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and worked properly. The pod bed was super comfortable with an effective curtain to provide privacy. I also liked the small outdoor area at the back of the property.

    Cons -

    • I can't think of anything that I didn't like.
    • We didn't mind but we stayed on the top floor with no elevator, something to consider if you have any mobility issues
    • Preferred the double bed bunks as they were the most comfy. The shower didn’t have hot water and one point but they fixed it, no worries.

The staff, the location and the beautiful building itself made my stay. I felt right at home, it was clean and the double bed was super comfy and so were the sheets. I felt safe and if I ever had a question or concern, the staff was ready to help. The location is nice and quiet and close to Dean Village!

The staff were great, they were all so friendly and helpful. Lukas went above and beyond and also let me check in early and provided a room upgrade, which was so kind. The bed was very comfortable and warm with sockets for charging electronics, a light, and a curtain for privacy. There were lockers in the room and a clean bathroom. Lukas also provided access to an additional bathroom and shower room. The hostel was in a good location with convenient transport links to the centre. I will definitely be staying again when I return to Edinburgh! Thank you Revolver Edinburgh for a great stay.

Enjoyed how peaceful and quiet it was, and its location.

The lights in the toilets kept going out and the sensors were not reliable

This wasn't the hotels fault or maybe it was ,but I was allocated room 8 ,bed a ,whuch was a triple bunk, the fire alarm went off and I was half asleep, lost my glasses ;started to go down the triple bunk ,they were metal steps with no slip on them ,i had socks on and couldnt find the steps down and slipped because I couldn't locate the footing and slipped 3feet on my back to which I fractured the base of my spine

    The location

At the time of my stay, the hostel was under renovation. The problem was that when I booked, the hostel didn't inform about the renovation.

This is a great accommodation. It is very reasonable priced and found in a great location- perfect walking distance from all the main attractions. The staff were amazing and very accommodating they helped us with everything and gave us some lovely recommendations and were always around if you needed them. FleasI was flea ridden after sleeping one night in bed 21 and dealt with over 200 terrible bites that came up in welts for weeks after

I really enjoyed the location, style of the building, staff, comfy beds, and private bathroom. The location is perfect for exploring Dean Village and Stockmarket on Sundays. :)

Air circulation in the room. Even with the window open, almost no air blew in. Maybe it was just not windy, so I can't tell, really. I loved the room and its size.

Lukas was a great host! Good location, near Dean Village and walking distance to old town. The bar is nice. It is being remodeled, the new pods look great (unfortunately they were fully booked during my stay).

The bunk beds were not comfortable.
