Pros +
- Location close to restaurants and close to metro
- Firstly all the good stuff: the rate I got on booking was excellent which means adjusting expectations downwards accordingly. The room was a bit spartan but clean and comfortable, with the usual tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, hairdryer, etc. WiFi could be a little patchy but worked well overall. It was snowing during my stay so the warmth was appreciated. I didn't have many dealings with the staff, but they were pleasant when I handed my key in or took it back, and the hotel is situated in an area I love (14th arrondissement). It's a fairly short walk from the Alésia metro stop so well served by public transport and, if you're coming from CDG, the RER B goes to Denfert-Rochereau, after which you simply change to the line to Alésia. I made it from hotel to terminal in forty minutes on my way back.
- Comfy and clean room with ensuite bathroom with toiletries. Greay location and neighbourhood. What else would you need? Perfect for a night stay.
Cons -
- Tiny tiny tiny bathroom and tiny room. No where to put large luggage. The room wasn't that clean and the trash can was full from the people before us.
- I didn't like the hold placed on my card as a security deposit which isn't advertised in advance by Booking.com. Mainly, however, as others have written, there is just no internal sound insulation. I had been up since 5.30am on day of arrival and was still awake at 2am at Moulin Vert, listening to other people. I'd asked for a quiet room but, because of the layout, there really aren't any to be had: there's a small central stairway with stairs/lift so the three rooms on each floor with doors right alongside just can't escape the noise of people walking up or exiting/entering the elevator. It wasn't that anyone was behaving obnoxiously but the noises from people moving their suitcases around overhead on late arrival, talking, entering their rooms, coughing, banging doors, etc. are magnified and carry. For example, I could hear the buzz of someone receiving a text message next door. At one point, at 2am, I stuck my head out into the corridor wondering what in hell people were *doing* but, no joke, the corridor was actually quieter than my room, as was the street outside (ironically, it seems to be a nice quiet road). If you're travelling solo, I think it would suit less than if you're in a couple and hence more likely to be distracted from noise (probably by the fact you're making it). I just think it's worth flagging because if you're prepared in advance and can brace yourself for it, you're likely to deal far better with it. (If you just don't care, it's an excellent place to stay.) In every other respect I found the hotel absolutely fine: so 2/10 for noise but 9/10 for everything else given the extremely good deal.
- The door is weird haha and the window view too. But I didnt care at all and I was expecting it. Maybe it would have been nice to have plugs next to the bed and one lamp wasn't working, but the rest...good!

The windows were drafty so it was cold, the shower cabin had no door, the walls were paper-thin so you could hear everything, and the furniture was old.
The bed was comfortable
The room smelled bad because of the sewer drains, the bathroom ceiling is damaged, the bathroom door is damaged, the toilet is in the bathroom. The worst of all is insulation, there is simply none!I heard a baby screaming and crying all night so I had trouble sleeping, I even had to take my anti-noise headphones and play music to reduce the noise.
Small hotel near the train station — it was among the most affordable options in the area.I arrived quite late, but they kindly checked me in without any issues. The room was small, but perfectly fine for a one-night stay. There were power outlets next to the bed, and a kettle with tea, coffee, and creamer sachets. The hotel also offers a breakfast buffet, though I didn’t try it.There is a boulangeire just below! very good baguette and pan au chocolate
The hotel charges (or puts a hold on) an amount equal to the room rate a few days before arrival, and then you still have to pay again at the property. They told me the first charge would be refunded, but not all hotels do that — so it’s definitely a downside. The room had a double bed, but if there had been two of us, it would have been extremely cramped. I did not mind however
Very nice hotel, breakfast and personnel
The bed was very very consumed, with a ditch on one side
Scam
Do not book here , they scam you with “a security deposit” and do not pay it back. We have stayed with them for one night about a month ago and we have still not received back 101 euro’s in deposits. They did send us a “receipt” which states it has been cancelled, but this is probably fake according to our bank.
Good value and comfortable bed. One member of staff on reception in particular was very helpful and cheerful.
Room was not automatically refreshed and sheets were not changed for the duration of our stay. Location was slightly out of centre but as to be expected at the price.
Very good
Walls are thin so you can hear everything, but that was not a big problem for me. i stayed one night. Keep that in mind if you are going to stay for more nights!
Neatly done room, everything I needed for a stop over in Paris on a through journey, ahead of leaving Montparnasse next morning. Kettle etc very helpful
Access to bathroom/shower a little tight and larger people may struggle
Location and the neighbourhood were good! Room was cleaned and tidied every day which was a pleasant surprise for us - it’s soooo convenient and nice. The view from the room was amazing! The room was very clean! The was an AC in the room. Everything in the room was properly working and functional, like the shower, there were convenient towel railing in the bathroom
It wasn’t soundproof and it was a bit loud when someone left or entered their rooms
Almost nothing, as the lady on the reception make from bad to worse.
FirstI didn't like the way of booking and taking money twice, once in cash on the arrival and prior that i paid by online card payment which they transfer the money as kept on the card or something. However, I do not received the money back till now, I don't know where are the money. Bank says we didn't received payment back or un-hold on some amount. The hotel says we returned it to your account.Shame.SecondThe internet it says (very good) so I booked, but when you get in the room, worst possible. I told the lady at the reception that internet is not good, the room i snot so clean and the window drapers were fitly and ripped in the middle, and I like to change the room, but mainly for clean bed and the internet. She told me that its not possible to change but clean towels and shirts received. So to work on internet I was siting on the floor of the room with my back to the door. That's how I spent part of the night in this hotel.

Value was my biggest like. The price is right for sure.
The shower sprays all over the place and makes a mess. It was frustrating but sort of funny.

Great location with 2 metro station nearby and 2 Monoprix!
They wont except Wize card [dunno why. its working anywhere else]
Close location to metro and all tourist places and in such a great area with local amenities and restaurants. Rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet.
Room was comfortable and hotel is very close to metro station which you can easly acsess! I only stayed for two days and night but staff were pretty helpful and they can communicate in English too which makes my stay easy for me.
I'm a big man and bathroom was a little bit small for me but if you have normal body you'll be fine!
The room was small but everything was clean and tidy. Even though the room was small, the nice window and charming atmosphere was there. It is good value for money to stay a couple nights.
It felt that the walls were too thin and I could hear the neighbour speaking and watching TV.
