    Pleasant

    Based on 272 reviews

    Pros +

    • Great location, very friendly staff, good value for money.
    • Good quality bread and patisserie for breakfast
    • The position was very convenient and at walking distance from the train station.

    Cons -

    • The room smelled of cigarettes. The automatic bathroom light stopped working and there was a water leak from bathroom ceiling. WiFi signal did not reach top floor room so had to go down to reception area to have WiFi.
    • We asked for a baby cot when we booked it and it wasn’t in the room as expected. The staff member on shift couldn’t find it and when he found it, he could not find the matress. So my baby had to sleep on a pile of sheets. He could not sleep between me and my partner because the double bed was actually made of two single beds that separated super easily. The breakfast was also pretty disappointing.
    • Long walk to train station varying from 7-11 minutes.

Central location you can walk to attractions like Lafayette and downtown opéra (but long walks) for those who like walking

Long walk to train station varying from 7-11 minutes.

Family with 3 kids, we all had plenty of space on the top floor room, had an amazing view of Eifel tower from the roof window. Room was clean, warm, plenty of blankets and towels.Liked the old spiral staircase leading to the 6th floor

In the breakfast area both mornings we were there seen some cockroaches

The Location is very good. Literally a few steps away from M7 metro and quite close to Gare de l'Est e Gare du Nord.

The room was not very clean.

    Location and staff

The elevator, we struggled a lot with our baby stroller as the lift is really tight

    2EddyPosted on: 11-2-2025

Location is great and staff is polite and helpful, always smiling

Poor cleanliness, no wifi in rooms but only in lobby, the lift is worthless since you need to take a stairs up or down to arrive to your floor, and the heating system is so so so so old, that it didn't stop making strong noises almost all night and has thus forbiden me to sleep !!Overall, I think the price is very very very overrated for such an old hotel, an unpleasant experience... I wouldn't repeat it, ever!!

Only issue is the humidity in the room, all the other is OK. Quality/price maybe just a little expensive but in line with Paris central area.5min of walk from the metro and 10 from the train station

    3PrasadPosted on: 10-19-2025

    Location and decent price point

We lived on the 3rd floor with No kettle, no microwave, limited breakfast with no variety, no wifi in rooms. Main issue is weird sensor lights in the toilet which switches off and on at any time , not sure what the site owner was thinking while planning this old vintage hotel.

Nothing special it when I booked the first night, that night it was at a good price

There is much to improve as an hotel, the bathroom leaked water on the showers so they had to be fast, the floor was all damaged, the bathroom had a light that turned on with movement so if you go for a pee at night you will have to wait for the light and extractor to turn off to sleep again, the elevator was between floors, so if you have luggage’s or else related you still have to carry it on the stairs

    Overpriced for what was offered....

Breakfast staff switched off coffee machine at 10am whilst I was still eating my breakfast.I explained that I liked my coffee at the end of my food, not at the beginning when it might get cold. The staff responded by saying 'breakfast finishes at 10am' and 'my boss says I must switch it off then'After complaining , the staff member reluctantly switched it back on again.Room very small and cramped.

Excellent location. Close to Gard du Nord and handy for the metro.

    6ValentinoPosted on: 8-31-2025

Nice position, room with lots of light, bath tub.

Limited breakfast options, and discount quality food. Hallways are a bit noisy.

    6ZubairPosted on: 8-15-2025

Location is very good every thing is accessible

Room was too small no AC or even a Fan and it was very hot

    5MinkangPosted on: 8-8-2025

The location very closed from cafés restaurants bars and metro station. Nice and quiet location.

The fact that there was no Air Conditioner or at least a fan knowing it was in summer.

    9GiovannipaoloPosted on: 7-30-2025

Large and comfortable room, beautiful view of the city. Excellent location, close to the metro, restaurants and bars.

Unfortunately there was no air conditioning in the room
