- Restaurant vibe was great. Decoration in the hotel very stylish
- We did not have the advertised room even though I caked to double check it was not a ground floor. BEFORE and AFTER I made the booking. I had a ground floor room which was dark. It essentially ruined my weekend. The staff were powerless to make any changes because the hotel was fully booked. They gave a complimentary meal and drink, but it did not compensate for the fact that the room was dark and horrible. So incredibly disappointing.I also think that for the amount of the room costs The value is not good enough. Definitely should have bathrobes and slippers and a proper closet. This will be my last day in a Hoxton. The rooms are just too dark.
- Great location, great architecture, staff were very helpful
Cons -
- Bed was very soft. Mattress did not feel like good quality. There was no place to put the suitcase. Also no closet. We were in the hotel with 2 people for 3 days and although the room was beautiful I must say it was a very uncomfortable experience. Definitely when looking at the price 300+ eur per night I found it unacceptable. Not worth the money
- Good location nice common areas. The staff are lovely although powerless to actually do anything. Nice vibe.
- You have allowed the bar areas to be completely taken over by people with laptops and free wifi. Unfortunately it has taken away the ability to enjoy the bar facilities for the guests.

The hotel is beautiful and buzzy. The food is good and the little bar Jacque was a must every evening for a nightcap. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient and professional. We went on New Years day, a time when Paris is traditionally quiet. Nonetheless, we had a lovely time walking around the neighborhood and beyond. The location is great.
Great location, great staff and wonderful rooms!
Would’ve liked a bathrobe in the room but otherwise no issues.
Exceptional
It was rushed check out - as so many people were checking in - so I was unable to buy the merch I was hoping to do!
The location is great and proximity to sightseeing spots. Overall, the staff was accommodating and helpful. The hotel was clean.
It is on the dark side with little sunlight. That’s not how the pictures online present the hotel. The staircase is largely just a sitting area that misguides guests into thinking the hotel is larger than it is. Rooms are very small.
It was close to the EuroStar
We booked a roomy room and for the price I would expected slippers as the room had cold wooden floors. The Wardrobe section was not long enough for coats and also had the kettle and condiments in it which was odd place to put them.
Large room.
VERY noisy in the evening.Couldn't sleep until midnight.
The staff were great. Friendly and polite. Nearly all spoke English although I speak French was useful for the children. Andrew in the restaurant was amazing and the Argentinian guy on the lobby bar also lovely.
Hmmm I hate to be negative but it was a real let down. Many issues. Not suitable for families as the whole place is basically an office during the day. So many people having business meetings. Not something you want to be surrounded by on a holiday. The cocktail bar is either closed or had private functions so not available to guests. No manager around ever although somehow the staff seem to be on it but may be incentivised by sales and commission. Not relaxing for us I hate to say. Some small changes could make things very different. I am a seasoned traveller and have also worked in hotels myself. It’s a shame. I suspect it’s a conscious choice to favour locals to guests but from what I saw they either had tap water or one coffee. Not the most lucrative bunch. Oh and no one to offer to help with bags so we had to drag them all ourselves.
Perfect location.Great staff & food
Tiny rooms
Loved the property, very clean and modern interior. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
The only criticism I have is that the TVs in the rooms aren’t smart TVs so didn’t have YouTube and Netflix.
The bed was comfortable in such a tight space. The coat rack fell on my head and the staff didn’t bother to fix it nor apologize for the inconvenience
The expensive room I paid for that was given to me was falling apart. The coat rack fell on my head barely missing my eye when I didn’t even hang anything. The hallway lights in the room were burned out. I had to call the front desk to have the bulbs changed. I also was place right across a bar in the street that was extremely noisy.
Very cozy, modern! Great staff! Located well close to transportation. Really nice overall
Nothing. All good
The location and the bar/disco
The noise, the size of the rooms, value for money. Air-conditioning switched on in winter
LocationEntrance BreakfastSome staff excellent
Very worn, especially furniture Cold rooms, a bit cramped.Silly cupboard with hangers over glassware.Showers with no door floods the bathroom.Courtyard walls showing signs of damp outside.Laptops on every table even those saying no laptops. Expensive drinks. Some staff disinterested No umbrellas or mint tea available Did not feel welcomed or valued. Limited info at check in.
Location
We were cold in the room informed the hotel 4 times and they did not do anything, they seemed annoyed we were asking them to fix the heating. At the 5th time they brought a portable heater which should have been done the first time.Honestly for a four star hotel, it looks nice but service was beyond expectations
Very good location close both to Louvre part and Mare. Convenient and moden system of communication with guests through what’s app. Quite a quick response. Very good bed linen and comfortable bed and pillows. Good bathroom amenities.
Its very noisy in the hall since its also a bar and a restaurant. A little bit like a train station. Didn’t like corridors with crpets that smell badly. The heater in our bathroom didn’t work. The hotel fixed it but it stoped working again. You don’t feel like in boutique hotel. Not enough charm. Windows look into the inner patio which is both good (silent in the morning) and bad (you see other windows).
Great location and vibe. Stayed at other Hoxton hotels and it was a solid stay overall. Reception staff were great.
Service in restaurant Friday night was chaotic and ordering drinks was challenging. The property is showing its age in public areas and a bit tired so it wasn’t quite as nice as my last stay in Amsterdam. Bar staff weren’t as warm and friendly as the reception team nor the feel of Amsterdam.
nice decor, good bar, courtyard area.
asked 3 times for an iron, stayed 2 nights, never arrived. bathroom smelt damp. toilet and shower drainge had problems. rooms were not cleaned or made up without a specific request disguised as a "green initiative". green is not washing towels after one use, it is not removing dirty plates, making beds and restocking fridges/ tea coffee. for €500 euros a night i expect a clean room with a toilet that flushes properly and a shower that doesnt gurgle smelly water when the sink tap is turned on. i expect my room to be cleaned and bed made. i also expect an iron and board to be brought to the room when i have called, asked front desk and sent messages on their whatsapp. i also think some breakfast should be inlcuded for this price, water in the room and tea coffee and milk to be automatically checked and replaced.
