The character was typical Parisian, the location was excellent

I was expecting a room higher in the hotel to have more of a view of the Eiffel Tower. I did not realize we would only be able to see half of the tower

    1Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 11-29-2017

The location is close to the Eiffel Tower.

No hot water to shower with at night, and bed bugs.

This is a cute, traditional downtown Paris hotel room of the 1960s. It had charm, a good location, it was clean, reasonably quiet, had a shower, and had a comfortable bed. The service was very friendly and helpful. There was nothing wrong with my stay.

This is perhaps a 3 star, but it's NOT a four star hotel. Well worn, and unrenovated for several decades. In an effort to be green, personal grooming amenities are only available upon request. Tabletop ironing board is not really satisfactory.

This is a very charming, chic hotel located within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, museums, etc. The rooms are very clean, and the staff is professional and friendly.

The breakfast buffet could use another hot item or two.

Fantastic service staff and very quaint setting. So close to the Eiffel Tower and the big red bus. A must if you want to see all the sights.

Perfect location with a great view of the tower. Staff are very very nice. We will stay here again.

Room design and location. Staff were very helpful in offering walking route to nearby tourist attractions.

We could see the Eiffel Tower from our 3rd floor room and were less than 2 minutes from the best view of it anywhere. 1 minute walk to Trocadero metro entry. The hotel staff was very helpful! He went above and beyond to help us out.

It was a great for us. We didn't eat in the hotel, so not sure about that, but the eating area is very small.

The hotel staff was awesome. They really went out of there way to arrange pickups and providing other info.

You could hear activity in the rooms beside and above. Made sleeping very difficult.

This was the second time I had stayed here in the past year. Like the location with great restaurants nearby and you can walk to the Eiffel Tower. It's a small quiet hotel. Rooms are a nice size and have been beautifully renovated. I had a view of the Tower last time, not this time. We stayed at 5 different hotels while traveling through France and Switzerland. The staff at this hotel was the nicest and most helpful of anywhere that we stayed. Ewa (hope I got the right) was outstanding. All of the staff gave us correct and helpful information, made other reservations or got tickets for us, and never seemed hurried or bothered by our questions. Pillows were very comfy and beds were full size (not 2 twins pushed together). Room controls were easy to use. Jacuzzi tub. Had a stocked fridge and a desk. Windows would open if you wanted fresh air. And the restaurant at the bottom of the hill had the best spaghetti with meat sauce that I've ever tasted. And the hop on/hop off tour bus picks up and drops off within walking distance (5 minutes) so you can save a lot of money by not having to use taxis to get around the city. I would stay here again.

Can't think of a thing. Very happy with this hotel.

Staff was great. Location was great.

Rooms are a little small, but that is to be expected.

I loved how it was about a 7 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower!!!! our room also had a view of the Eiffel Tower, and that made it more special! I loved the old looking culture of the bedrooms, and the breakfast in the mornings was wonderful. Had a nice variety.! And anytime we need a car they would call a taxi for us and it was there within 10 minutes. Everything was extremely clean and they had champagne waiting for us in our room with macaroons for our 10 year anniversary. What a special treat.! I highly recommend this hotel. It was the perfect location and the perfect atmosphere. We plan to come back and stay at the same hotel.! ?

I thought that the elevator was a bit small, but still doable!

The staff was kind the whole time, which was the best part of the stay.

Honestly, the hotel price is mostly for the location. The rooms are very small — the photos don’t really show how small they actually are. The elevator is extremely small; it fits only one person with a large suitcase or two people without luggage. You can also hear noise from other rooms, which was uncomfortable. They charged an extra fee per person over 18, which was not mentioned when we made the reservation. The parking area is very limited — we used it for two nights but were charged for three at first (they did refund the extra night). There was no conditioner, only shampoo/body wash. Overall, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We received a great recommendation for dinner on our first night from the front desk, and couldn't have been happier. The location of the hotel relative the the Eiffel Tower is impossible to beat. It is within a couple hundred meters of one of the best views of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It is very close to a metro station which makes travel throughout Paris a breeze, although we did spend most of our time walking everywhere. We did use the restaurant for breakfast one morning. The restaurant is small and cozy, but the offering of food great. There is a nice selection of juices, breads, cereals, meats, and cheeses for breakfast. This also includes some hot items to choose from in this buffet style breakfast. The rooms are on the small side, but they are not lacking any amenities. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is equally so. We spent most of our days out-and-about in the city, so the room did not need to be large. It just needed to be a comfortable place to come back to after a long day, which it certainly was. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you will be spending any time in the area around the Eiffel Tower.
