Ibis Styles Paris Republique Hotel

The location was perfect! Close to metro. The staff helped us get a taxi reserved for early arrival at the airport. Really enjoyed the free breakfast with fresh orange juice.

They did not have ice for the rooms. I was sent next door, to a local resturant, to get ice and the restaurant manager was not pleased.

The breakfast was great. It was a bit different. I liked the fresh squeezed orange juice and the seating

Where it is located

During our two-day stay, on one of the mornings it was not possible to have breakfast because the hot beverage machine was out of order. I informed the person at the reception, and their response was, “What am I supposed to do?”, which I found very unprofessional. There was no staff present in the breakfast room to speak to (also to report that the fresh fruit was not actually fresh

It’s a good location, but it is old and rooms are squashed into cupboards.

Not modern, it’s old, rooms are tiny and can barely stand up in the shower or open the door. Plug sockets don’t work at all.

Rooms were comfortable. Bathrooms were small but functional. Close to public transport & lovely restaurants close by.

We were on the top floor & when the lift broke down, walking up & down the stairs was difficult. The bathroom had no exhaust fan so it was impossible to dress after a shower. The breakfast was nice but there was no explanation of what to do & the one person there did not speak English. We were expected to boil our own eggs with no suggestion of how long for. It took me three days to get the timing right.

Breakfast was free and I felt it was very good.

My room was next to the elevator and when it was moving between floors you could hear it make absnging noise. I know there's not much you can do, just an observation.

Best services were awfulVery unfriendly We had issues with the key in the checkin and the receptionist asked to “ verify if it wasWorking otherwise I should come back to exchange the room”.It was their obligation to go with me and test it. If there was a problem THEY should solve it and not asking me to go back and forth.We had problems just after the checking with the bathroom: the shower drain was clogged. I called the reception and she couldn’t understand it in English. Asked AGAIN to go downstairs to explain (to play Mine, maybe?!).After changing the room, I called to ask what was voltage do the power outlets in the hotel provide? The receptionist said: “I believe it is 110”. Then I turned on my Dayson hairdryer and burned instantly 500 dollars because it for sure wasn’t 110.Terrible experience, most 500 euros in my hairdryer and nobody cares…

Very poor

I forgot a neck pillow and notified the staff that I would pick it up on my way back to Paris. No response.The staff informed me that it was not reported.

Nice one. Though I expected the room to be little more spacious, it was still neat and well functional

Location was good, easy to get to most of ParisBreakfast was nice

Room was very smallSound proofing was quite badDoor would not lock unless you slammed it shut, which I only learnt after one or two days. Also because you have to slam the doors to make sure they lock you'll constantly hear other doors being slammed through the night

The soundproofing in the hotel generally was poor and there was noise from other rooms and from the outside. However I was out most of the time and I still managed to get decent nights' sleep so not a big issue for me. Best to bring earplugs! I do appreciate that it is an old building and that it is not possible to make improvements.The room was small, but as mentioned, it did not make any difference to me being a single traveller who was out all the time.A kettle and tea/coffee in the room would have been a nice touch though .

Excellent location very close to lots of restaurants and right by Republique Metro station. Decent breakfast, nice bed slept really well

Rooms a bit small however you expect this from a converted building rather than purpose built hotel and let’s face it how much room do you spend in your room on a city break
