Location is great, staff is super helpful, very good comfy room, fast checkin

My only issue was that the room was a bit cold and I didn't know how to work the aircon

I liked the location (2nd district), which was great at the price we paid. We loved the small room, which was very comfortable (one of the best sleeps we have ever had in a hotel, a stiff bed, stiff pillows - this is what we seek). The personnel was very helpful and pleasant to interact with :).

Personally, I did not like the breakfasts (there were always problems with the coffee machines, always not enough scrambled eggs or meats, always problems with cuttlery missing and so on). It is a small hotel with a small, two-room dining room, with a low number of guests, but the kitchen did not quite catch up with the demand on both Friday and Saturday (especially Saturday). Perhaps the kitchen is too small or too little personnel? I do not know, but I always ate my scrambled eggs cold (if I did not put them on my plate even though there were no cuttlery available, I would have not eaten it at all because it would not be replenished after the scrambled eggs ran out for at least 30 minutes). And since I had no cuttlery, I had to wait for the kitchen to either wash them = hence the scrambled eggs were always cold for me. My luck. Also, those eggs might have been powdered eggs, so really bland. The breakfasts were simply sub-par, I expected a lot more from a Mercure chain hotel.

Only issue I had was with BREAKFAST. I requested Gluten Free Bread weeks in ADVANCE and was told it would not be an issue. I asked for the Gluten free bread ( was only given GF Cakes ) Bread was only offered to me on my second last day. Also selection of food was not the best. Cheap and not many healthy options like other places i have stayed at.No Natural Greek Yoghurt, the yoghurts offered were full of sugar. I could not find the butter until my last day. It was visible and not labelled.

I paid SO MUCH for the breakfast and it was NOT worth what i paid.

    Location and friendly staff

Management made the decision not to activate the air conditioning the entire stay. It was unusually hot weather for Paris so the room was stuffy with no air circulation.Whilst the window could be opened, the street was noisy. Not acceptable when the property advertises aircon as a feature!

Well located and friendly staff! Bed was comfortable.

Basic amenities, just to sleep hotel. I would have liked the door to have an extra lock.

The building and inside is quaint typical parisian style. Quite narrow in places, but can get around without problems. The lift is a bit slow though. Rooms were nice, big and spacious, big windows that can open, and blackout blinds to block the light out. Staff were very friendly. If i go back to Paris, prices depending, I would be happy to stay here again. I like the fact that key attractions like the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre and Notre Dame, amongst others are within walking distance.

The breakfast buffet is limited, nothing special. However, luckily i paid a cheaper rate through booking.com but on the bedroom door it has the prices, and if you dont prepay, it definitely is not worth the 21 euros they charge at the hotel. The lift is very small and very slow.

I liked the location. - Quite close to Opera and handy for the Metro. Close to Gare du Nord - only about 20 minutes away. Room temperature fairly easy to control and was ok to stay in once I got used to it.

The photos mane the hotel and rooms look large and modern and up to the minute. However, the hotel is old, with lifts that have a corrugated gate and door, my room was down a bit of a twisty corridor and I was underwhelmed when I wanted to feel excited about my stay. The bed was hard. There was an odd light fitting left in the room and a funny filtered water system that involved taking a flask down a corridor to fill. I didn’t do this - not for me. I’d have preferred 2x small glass bottled water.

central location, hotel was very quit and clean

    my bed was somehow downhill

    8JonathanPosted on: 5-1-2024

Big room, filtered water station along the corridor to fill up our water bottles. We walked to the Lourve from the hotel

There was mold in the toilet, and the bed seems to be a portable one. It keeps flipping up whenever you sit on the edge.

Location is very convenient with MRT

Toilet very narrow and during shower floor become wet.

    8ilkemPosted on: 4-12-2024

It was clean, beds and pillows very comfortable, towels nice and soft, soap and shower gel good brands, shower was comfortable. In summary small but compact room that meets the needs. Very central location.

    Nothing specific

The location of the hotel was perfect for our planned itinerary

Room was 'tired and needed some tlc'.Reported the safe in the room was not working within one hour of arrival. It was still not working when we left and no feedback!Chose Mercure as have stayed in many throughout Europe and the Middle East. Sadly this one did not live up to its rating.
