Beautiful building, friendly staff, great service. Comfortable, warm ambience.
From the moment you see the property the tone is set to stunning. The staff is excellent and is attentive. Every detail is beyond expectations. The SPA swimming pool and Sauna are fabulous. You leave refreshed.

The location was amazing. Perfectly situated for the champs Élysée. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Fantastic service and food
Nothing !
Instagramable look, they allow to check in earlier and polite
Stole a lot of cash from locked room safe and dismissive when asked to investigate and look at comers, trying to hide
The building and the old fashioned sense of style and luxury
The building work made outside entrance ugly . The staff were friendly but too ‘stiff’ . The in-room entertainment sub-standard and TV too small . The spa facility not properly manned and bad communication . The food I did have in bar/library average
I have been staying at the Saint James for many years . It is an Exceptional Hotel, efficient staff and top location
Every detail of our stay at the Saint James was perfect - the staff was welcoming and helpful, the room was absolutely beautiful and so quiet, the grounds and facilities are beautiful and the restaurants each had a lovely and different feel to them. I would highly recommend the Saint James and will return again!
The only less than perfect thing has nothing to do with the hotel management itself...only that the commute to central Paris took at least 30 minutes by Metro or taxi and an hour to walk. But the 16th was so much fun to explore and so comfortingly quiet after a busy and crowded day of exploring.
This hotel is superb. It has an excellent location within walking distance to centre of Paris and is a stone's throw from The Metro if you prefer that. It has a peaceful and thoughtfully laid out garden and the whole place feels very secluded from the city bustle. It is very well decorated and furnished. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a duplex suite which was a generous act on the part of the management and it made our stay very memorable. The leisure facilities are really spacious and clean. The food was excellent.
Nothing; rien!
Location, and the late night cafe in the amazing garden were excellent! One of the bellman was also fantastic.
We were a bit surprised that upon arrival, no one greeted us - no one offered to help with our luggage, even after we made it up the stairs with everything in hand. The receptionist was also not very present, and the hotel didn't seem busy (no one in the lobby, as we arrived). However, we did make our way over to the Maitre d' and all went smoothly from that moment on for the rest of our stay.
The Angeline chocolate we got after they clean the room and place it on our bed.. ;make us happy
I liked the interior, the exclusivity in the middle of paris.
I didn’t like their food options, and their service isn’t as professional as other 5 star hotels with the same price range.
Everything! We were given a triple room upgrade on arrival to a junior suite duplex. So comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great facilities in the room and a really comfy bed I didn't want to get out of! Gym was excellent for a hotel! Swimming pool and sauna/steam also great and clean! The staff were brilliant and friendly.I don't normally go back to the same hotel but I definitely would come here again and again! The grounds and building are stunning!
Nothing! Absolutely loved our stay
The hotel has a very nice overall concept and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The staff tries to be as helpful as possible. The bar section and breakfast in the morning were much better than many of our experiences in Paris.
Although the hotel is close to the main street, Victor Hugo, it is quite far from many points and transportation can be quite cumbersome. It is not a very suitable hotel for a family vacation, especially if you have a baby. Although the staff tries to be helpful, the rooms, hotel entrance and general structure are not very suitable for a family vacation. The rooms are a bit small and designed with limited functionality according to our standards. The SPA section was below average compared to many of our previous experiences. Finally, during our departure, we had to wait for hours due to a great deal of unplanned chaos at ORLY for the transfer and farewell service that needed to be arranged. It was inadequate for such a hotel that they only apologized and did not take responsibility for the situation.
Since we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, they offered us a complimentary room upgrade.
There was nothing extraordinary about the property for the price we paid for it. We expected it to be a lot bigger and grander. But there wasn't anything that stood out. They even charged us for milk for coffee machine in room, which should be very basic at a five star resort.
Location is bad, you have to take taxi anywherePool is cold & very very tiny.Staff is not professional & it’s obvious they are not trained , half the time they are on their phones. Ordered omelette w mixed veggies got veggies separately every time even when I told them I want it mixed into the omelette - several times I told this! They have no barista nor any knowledge about coffe- whatever you order you will always get bad coffe w scolding milk on the side. Ordered latte, cappuccino each time I got coffee w scolding milk on the side (I even explained that I want espresso w milk). It’s a joke. Seriously so unprofessional & not the slightest knowledgeable staff.
Breakfast, coffee, staff, location.
This is my only must go to in Paris - the environment, rooms, service, restaurant, bar and garden (when the weather allows) are simply as good as it gets - check with your bank manager prior to going as it tempts all your senses. The dinner, service and environ that a friend and I enjoyed last night were simply exceptional.
Rien!
Quite expensive but the breads were excellent Elegant dining room. Very attentive staff
Bathroom was slightly small but I could see that the area of the whole room didn't allow for it to be larger. Water pressure of the shower was very poor
St James is a palace hidden in the center of Paris. From the moment you walk through the gates and past that iconic fountain, to the moment the staff check you in, it all feels incredible. The decor and rooms are amazing and we really enjoyed chilling in the bar and their gorgeous back garden for drinks in the evening. It was my birthday and they went out of their way to help us celebrate
We had to leave :(
