- The location was fabulous, right near a metro stop and great restaurants and inside a covered shopping area. The room was large and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the decor, including Clarinette. Although it isn't a large hotel the reception desk is staffed 24/7, which meant that when another guest had his TV on way too loud pretty late at night Luisa got right on it, and when we left at 5:00 am there was someone to check us out (Clarinette said goodbye too). The room didn't include a hair dryer, but hotel staff lent us one that worked way better than your average hotel blow dryer. After our flight home was cancelled my daughter begged to stay another night vs. moving to an airport hotel, and they gave us a very reasonable rate for Paris on a Saturday night. Here's hoping we get to come back some day!
- The location is incredible—close to authentic Parisian shops and in a quiet area. The staff are truly amazing and very helpful. I stayed here for my honeymoon and had requested a decorated room, but at first I was given a budget room. When I mentioned it, they immediately upgraded me to a better room and did everything to make sure I was happy. I really appreciated this thoughtful gesture. The atmosphere of the hotel is charming and made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

- There were a few cracks and crumbles, but it was perfectly clean and comfortable.
- The hotel is a bit old and the rooms are small, but that’s part of its Parisian charm and was exactly what I wanted to experience.
- too hot

loved having a triple room with the extra space – could have used air-conditioning but you supplied us with a fan and open the stuck window
too hot
Great and nice staff!!! Easy access to lots of things.
Stairs and small elevator- but since its historical and old building, its understandable. Also the room looks old
Tremendous location just off Les Grands Boulevards… Hotel blends in seamlessly with its surrounding shops in the passageway.. Staff were most accommodating when I tried to extend my stay… I shall most definitely return..
Took me awhile to learn how to negotiate the gate in order to return after 9pm.. More my fault than anyone else’s.. Showers could be incredibly small..
The Chopin more than fulfilled a dream of getting to stay in one of Paris's Art Nouveau passages. What fun to be able to walk out the hotel door and see such beauty! The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed meeting the friendly hotel cat.
Of course the rooms were smallish and there were lots of people everywhere, but it's Paris!
The charming little hotel is nestled in the heart of the historical Passage Jouffroy, meters away from metro station. Good breakfast, clean room. The adorable chat noir 'Clarinet' is a huge plus, he deserves the yummiest food and best care! :)
Charming, easygoing welcoming and friendly. The hotel cat (called clarinet) is friendly when not sleeping, tucked away in a corner of the staircase. Location is perfect . I liked the trusting nature of the establishment, the guests take breakfast with no checks, a kettle and tea/coffee is available for free beverages all day . It is Quiet at the end of a pedestrian arcade of wonderful shops next to the Musée Grevin.
Excellent location, very comfy beds and nice and quiet. Loved ‘Clarinet’ the cat who gave us nightly cuddles in the corridor before we went to bed. Really nice little hotel. Will definitely stay again and look forward to it!
Could’ve been a luggage room downstairs to store oversized and not required for stay luggage. We had snowboards etc which didn’t need to be in the room.
located in a lively area - historic hotel with lots of character - enjoyed the breakfast - convenient location near restaurants and metro very near - this was our second stay at Chopin
everything was fine!
This hotel is a very special place. it's quiet and screams fine classical French just how you would imagine I just loved it . The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was very nice. Good water pressure.the staff were very helpful, and the room was cleaned every day, which was amazing as I didn't expect it to be done. very good place to be to for yourself to explore paris nice and close to transport
Location and the politeness, helpfulness of the staff, esp Julia
The many stairs to carry our suitcases
The location was fantastic we could walk to all main attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were two singles travelling together and the room was very clean and comfortable. There was a kettle available to borrow and even a small bar fridge which is unusual in European hotels. it's a very old and quirky hotel within an arcade of shops and cafes. We loved it.
It could be a little stuffy but we were able to open the large windows in the room. We stayed in Autumn but in summer it may be a bit warm as there was no air conditioning.
Loved the location in the passage, staff was friendly, easy access to metro station
Room was a bit warm
Location was good - close to restaurants and metro
No hot water on last night stay
Quaint room beautifully decorated and the hotel and room were very French. Lovely front desk staff and great breakfast in the cute little breakfast room. But the best thing was the location… in the center of one of Paris’ wonderful passages (covered shopping street), and just a few steps from the Grands Boulevard metro.
Can’t think of anything.
It was in a good location and the beds were comfortable. The hotel cat, Clarinet is gorgeous, 10/10 for her!
The room 405 is very tired. There's water stains on the ceilings and the wallpaper is peeling off in places. The bathroom is tiny, it was quite the squeeze in the shower and there's mouldy condensation on the ceiling.I think the expression "you get what you pay for" is correct for this hotel, maybe in its hay day it was beautiful but feels very much past it's best. As long as you're just looking for a comfortable bed and place to get washed and head out it will do.
Location was good but tricky to find as down the end of arcade. Close to Metro transport. Comfortable & clean. Staff helpful.
All good apart from tricky location address but prompt communication from staff helpful.
Excellent location in the beautiful covered passage. Love the history. Love the decor. Comfortable large bed. Excellent shower even though bathroom is small. Attentive staff.
An iron and kettle in room would be great. It was good though that you could make a cuppa downstairs.
