Hotel Le Chat Noir

This is a hotel that caters to tourists who want to visit the Moulin Rouge. It's not bad, but it was overpriced for what it is and where it's at. We moved to a different hotel in Montmartre after one night

It's not a bad hotel but overpriced and nothing special.

The hotel staff was attentive, professional, and above all, welcoming. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The large shower was awesome after a day of walking.! Also, a metro stop is steps away and it is a short walk to Monmartre.

I would not recommend for those traveling with children because of the neighboring shops.

Excellent location to subway system and dining. Staff were excellent, breakfast great, and hotel very clean.

Didn't realize it was in area of Paris previous red-light district. Probably not the most appropriate flocstion for travel with family.

Website photos weren’t accurate, the room was looking pretty tired.

Not a full 4* regarding the amenities, mostly, the bathroom could have been cleaner. Not sure if dirty or stained, but the impression was not pleasant.

I would have given rate of 9 over 10 if I didn't face 2 bad negative points:1- From my room at night, I called the receptionist to ask about simple information. There was a guy called Mohamed. I was chocked that he replied me saying "Ne me casse pas la tête"Means don't bother me.I tried several times to contact his manager to report a complaint but no response at all despite that I have informed the reception more than 3 times.I can't imagine to see such attitude from a respectful hotel.2- Despite that the location is perfect and near public transportation but unfortunately the hotel is fully rounded by sex shops and casinos everywhere in the street. This makes the situation so critical to stay in such horrible condition especially for families.Also, the room was extremely small.

Brilliant location for metro (Blanch station less than a minutes walk) and only 2 stops from Anvers to get to Montmatre.The staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast was good value and the hotel was clean and tidy.Also handy for local bars and restaurants.,

Nothing. Some might be concerned about the location due to local late night clubs, but the area was friendly and never threatening.

Location and rooms

Exceptionally noisy! In every way. We asked to change room which helped a bit. However would not return due to this sadly.

Great location for heading out in to Paris. It is about a 55 min walk down to Place de la Concorde or the Louvre Museum. There are some great little restaurants around Montmartre. We eat out for breakfast as there a nice breakfast patisserie all around. And if you want to visit the Moulin Rouge it is less than 50 yards from the hotel.

Clean, affordable and convenient location

Located close to metro, in Montmartre, two minutes walk from Moulin Rouge.

Located exactly in the middle of sex shops, every store to the right, left and the other side of the street is a sex shop.Cigarette and mould smell in the room.

Incredible location in Montmarte, we had the Suite Prestige penthouse apartment with 300 degree views of Paris including Sacre Coeur and the Eiffel Tower. We even saw fireworks from the Arc de Triomphe on New Year's Eve. Absolutely fantastic the apartment was so spacious, airy and modern with comfortable beds and the best bathroom with deep soaking tub and separate shower. Staff was marvelous and gave us a bottle of champagne. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Loved everything

The staff was very friendly and helpful.The quality of food and drinks were excellent.The room was fairly small but cozy and comfortable and had a power shower.The hotel is strategically located near the Moulin Rouge and only a few steps away from the Blanche metro station.

I had requested a twin room since I was sharing with my mother.And it had been confirmed by the hotel.However when we got to our room- it was quite late- and found the bed to be a double bed.So I contacted reception right away but all chamber maids had left for the day and we had to wait until the morning to split the beds.

Location, staff and facilities were great

I don’t know it was located on the street for all the sex shops.
