Pros +
- For the price, it absolutely exceeded expectations. This is by no means a luxury hotel though, but if your main objectives are like mine (cheap, in a good neighbourhood, good mass transport, with separate bathroom), it will provide all of them. They even upgraded us to a larger room, with a balcony. The general room hygiene wasn't as bad as I expected by reading other reviews. The staff were also nice and very helpful.

- It was cheap
Cons -
- The shower didn¿t drain. So after 4 minutes you needed to turn off the shower and let it drain. Then at 710am someone tried to break into my room by impersonating a person telling me there was a fire and get out fast. It wasn¿t safe
- Some renovation works are probably required soon. Everything worked for us, but the toilet seat was moving a bit, the tap wasn't very smooth, it was hard to drain the bathtub, the paint of the walls could be cleaner, etc. It also has a slight college dorm room feeling.
- Five floor without lift, too little place in the room to undo the lugguge and the lack of cups however there was a boiling kettle

Friendly staff, conveniently close to Gare de L'Est and good value
No lift
Warm room, comfortable beds, good enough shower and toilet.
Its small, good for sleeping not much else.
It was in a perfect location and you really get what you pay for, clean rooms with comfy beds and a nice onsuite. The front desk were nice too.
Our fridge was a little broken (didn’t stay extremely cold) but we were only using it for drinks.
Calm , clean and warm Staff very welcoming and friendly Some steps away from Gare de l’Est and Subway Line 4 ( Château d’eau ) Bathroom is ok A French window opening onto a balcony to let you have a certain street view
Room looks old fashioned Unfortunately there’s no lift , so be prepared for a sport session to get into your room Single room is so small
Close to eveyrhing
Smell bad, not clean, no elevator
Nothing to complain about! No elevator is expected in Paris and the breakfast was very basic. But the room was clean and comfortable and so was the bathroom. I even had a balcony on the 5th floor! They let me check in early and check out late.
Breakfast could be better
It was a last minute booking as my train got severely delayed. Very good value for money: the bed was comfy enough, the room was warm and clean. Within a walkable distance from the Gare de l'Est.
Tiny bathroom but that's me being fussy. There was no bedside lighting either but again, not that big a deal for a short/ last minute stay.
First of all the location - close to metro, two large shops nearby(Lidl and Aldi, both about 6-7 min by walk) - not to mention the smaller shops and restaurants around. the room, although small is really cozy. I was traveling alone and although I stayed for one day due to my flight the next day and the proximity to the train station, I could easily have spent the whole weekend there exploring Paris. It's a normal neighborhood where most of the residents seem to be ethnic minorities, and that's about it. I didn't feel unsafe for a moment, even when walking around at night. From my observations, you're more likely to be approached in the morning offering hairdressing services than in the evening for any reason. The people are harmless and self-absorbed. In my opinion, the comments about the lack of safety are greatly exaggerated. The neighborhood's aesthetic is not Beverly Hills, and that's it. Warm shower with good pressure. The room itself is also warm, which is especially important in this colder period of year.
Honestly, the only thing that bothered me was the lack of at least two tea bags and coffee for the included glasses in the room – that would have been a nice touch. When someone moves around the stairwell, it's quite audible, but nothing that would bother me at night while sleeping, rather first thing in the morning.
Just the location and breakfast.
The keatle was very dirty, my room wasn't cleaned during my stay. The staff been very aggressive and arrogant to us( my wife and I).Mayby because we are black...it was very sad.
The main advantages: a friendly personal in a hotel plus it's near the Gare du Nord.If to be honest it's the smallest room in my travelling life)But for one night it's ok to stay before you next stop.
I think that I have a very long legs because I couldn't close the door to toilet+bathroom, when you seated on the toilet
It was located in the City centre and 24 hours available to check in
It was smoked in the room
Good
No elevator available.. my room is next to the stair. Good thing its near.. but thing is i keep on hearing all the steps
It was a nice location very close to metro and local restaurants, bakeries and bars.
It had no elevator, the rooms were very small and the furniture were very rusty.
Location. Hot water in both showers and sink tap. Ability to loan hairdryer from manager.
The small double-bed room.
