The People Paris Belleville

It was my first experience staying in a hostel. So I was a bit anxious, but I was meet with amazing staff who made me feel very welcome and comfortable . The ambiance was great and very democratic. I loved the experience and I shall stay in a hostel agai.

The gentlemen at the reception were exceptional in answering questions and solving problems. They were very helpful indeed. The bathrooms were always clean and nice smelling. The rooms were small but very clean and tidy. I loved the privacy curtain.

The cleaners come into the rooms to clean way too early in the morning. They talk loudly in the hallways too. It would be nice if they come and the rooms after 10 am. The beds are too high.

Location was great. Close to two metro stations and in a neighborhood filled with places to eat and grocery stores to shop. I loved that they have lots of fun things happening each night like karaoke and open mic. definitely a fun vibe.

There wasn’t a lot of community space available. The downstairs area comfortably seats about 30 people, which is open to the public. There was no place for people to cook their own food like in many hostels, and they didn’t want you to bring food in the rooms. There is a small rooftop area that seats about 6.

Honestly the hostel is fantastic. I felt safe in the building. I slept so deeply.

The neighborhood is sketchy and there’s nothing that the hostel can do about that…

Bathrooms were very clean. I liked that I was able to fit a big luggage in the locker compartments. Nice small rooftop overlooking part of the cityVery good value for a hostel in Paris.

The area near the hostel is also quite niche and international. The design of the bunk beds are very creative, yet comfortable. The beds are very very stable.

I was very unlucky with the bed selection. There was a problem with the bed frame that i used. The upper right corner was broken, so my matteress was a bit slanted.

My second stay at The People Belleville and, once again, a lovely stay! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, and I like that there's always the option to socialise in the bar downstairs if you want to - but there's no pressure if not. The beds are comfy and there's storage space available at a reasonable price if you need to store your bags on the day you check out. Belleville itself is a cool area and it's very easy to access the rest of the city via the metro, the bus, or on foot. Overall, a great place to stay - I highly recommend, especially for female solo travellers

Friendly staff, clean linens, excellent mattress, bed with a curtain for privacy.

The hotel wasn't heated and very cold bathroom. Also was scary to walk back to the hotel in evening. The area didn't look safe.It was also very noisy outside until late at night. The windows were located above the hotel cafe.

The staff were very cooperative and helping. The room was very good. The only issue I face is the top bed which I was allotted. It was very difficult to go that bed on top as stairs are very narrow

The location, the rooftop view, the drinks, the breakfast in the morning, the bed, the easiness of checking in/out. The size of the lockers.

The cleanliness of the bathrooms.

Their shower rooms have plenty of spaces, hanger hooks, and a stool! AC is nice in the night. The toilet is clean. Linens and pillow are very comfortable. Socket, lamp, curtain, and little spaces near the bed. My shared room has lockers, is locked and can be unlocked with their access card. The building has an elevator and restaurant/cafe/bar. 24 hours front desk for checking out.

no kitchen, no fridge. They have a restaurant/cafe/bar like ground floor where everyone is either looking at their computer or phone. It is a little noisy. There is no social interaction with others.

They have paid lockers in case you want to store your luggage before or after your stay but i think that should be included at least for the day you are leaving. The room I was staying was untidy, dirty plates and beer around. My bed was clean but everything else wasn’t, the smell was awful.

Lovely neighborhood with locals of diverse communities around perfect connectivity to all places of importance. Loved the live performances in the week and the staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Towels are costly and not so good tho.

The staff was nice and always willing to help the best they could.A large storage space you could put your valuables in and lock with your own lock.The breakfast was good.

They do not have a laundry room. The room I was in was a little small, though it was manageable. At times it got kind of ripe (smelly) in the room, fortunately, the windows could be opened a crack.The breakfast could have some different things on different days, though it is not that big of a deal. The XL breakfast ended a little early for me (10:00.)
