Hotel Montparnasse Saint Germain

Great location and safe. 24 hours check in at this small hotel and someone has to let you in, meaning no one can come in off the street unless they've got a room there.

The staff were kind, polite, and very welcoming.

The single room I stayed in was on the top floor (the 6th floor). However, the elevator does not go beyond the 5th floor, so guests must carry their luggage up one flight of stairs. This makes the room unsuitable for travelers with large suitcases. As I had a lot of luggage, I asked for assistance at the front desk, and a member of the cleaning staff kindly helped carry my bags. Nevertheless, the need to request assistance itself was quite inconvenient. There should be a clear notice that access to this room requires climbing stairs. In addition, the bathroom in this room has functional issues: when using the shower, water splashes throughout the bathroom, making it necessary to clean the space oneself during the stay. The bathroom requires at least minimal renovation.While the location is very good and the staff are kind and helpful, this particular room was not comfortable. Although other rooms may be better, I would not choose to stay in the same room again.

The location was the BEST. Everything was within 20-30 minutes. The staff were very helpful, especially Eduard. They helped us with recommendations and directions.

Everything was acceptable. The room was clean and they cleaned room regularly. Our room was small but there were bigger rooms available. Overall we enjoyed our time there!

The room was perfect for what we paid, a little small but very clean, everything worked well and the bed was comfy!

We did have some issues being let in late on Saturday night, even though reception was supposed to be 24 hours, but it was resolved after not too long.

Small, modern boutique hotel with friendly staff and ideal location for Gare du Montparnasse. Surprisingly spacious rooms and good breakfast. The accessible room was well equipped and on the ground floor

Small rooms but ok for the price

Excellent location to step out to elegant french culture and access to the landmarks within easy metro and beautiful walks. A block from the train station alleviated stress.

The front is on a busy street and so I’m a light sleeper, but they put me in the back which was extremely quiet. Perfect.

The location is fantastic for Gare de Montparnass passengers; It is right down the street and is visible from the station.

I found the room to be very similar to hotel rooms in the US. By Paris standards it was atypical and wonderful. The room was large with a huge comfortable bed, a wonderfully large bathroom and shower, great cabinet space and a tea maker. I did not get the breakfast so I can’t comment about it. Staff spoke engish and was welcoming and friendy. There is a jazz theme throughout with a beautiful reception room which was well decorated and spacious.

Very noisy place, poorly isolated rooms. People in the restaurant on the 1st floor of the hotel were making noise until late at night, and this happened every night of our stay.

Friendly Staff and Location.

There were 2 issues in our bedroom that ruined our night. The AC was making a terrible noise even when turned off. During all night there was a weird loud noise every 20/30 minutes. We reported the situation during the night but the team couldn’t do anything. We didn’t sleep at all. Then at 7am before we checkout, there was no hot water in the shower. We reported also that situation at the front desk that morning. Despite following up with the staff with emails and calls, the hotel manager has been ignoring our compensation request - it’s been a month now.It’s a shame they wouldn’t even reach out back. Next time we will stay at the hotel “Les artistes” that is just around the corner and offers a way better hotel service.

Hotel was remodeled and the room was very nice. Good bed and shower. Was surprisingly inexpensive as it was right next to the train station.
