Hôtel Paris Gambetta

Clean, close to metro.

No A/C, tiny room, no privacy.

The staff was excellent. This should be 4 star hotel.

This place was great it had a wash machine which was very helpful to travellers.

The staff and the great location next to the metro and bus stops. Great food spots all around.

Great location and I felt very safe walking back to the hotel late at night. Very helpful and friendly staff. Bathroom modern and spacious. Very clean.

I stayed at the Hotel Paris Gambetta for 10 nights, and was very pleased with my experience.1. The location was excellent - near the Gambetta metro station on line 3, so it is possible to get anywhere within Paris by metro. The area around the hotel has a phamacy, plenty of excellent restaurants, caffes, patisseries, food stores, etc. It is within the walking distance of Bastille as well. The area around the hotel was well lit at night and felt safe walking after dark.2. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was freshly renovated and spotless. Basic toilettries were provided. Excellent shower pressure.3. Comfy bed with clean bedsheets and a warm blanket. Extra pillows were provided. There was a small refrigerator in the room as well.4. The hotel was quiet - perfect for rest after sightseeing.5. The staff was wonderful - very kind, helpful and hospitable. They are ready to accommodate you and help you with any of your questions. It felt like coming home at night! There is someone at the front desk at all time so I felt very safe and secure.I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay here during my future visits to Paris! Gambetta is a great area with lot's of nice affordable restaurants and bars within walking distance. Right next to the metro for all the tourist spots.The interior was clean, with a surprisingly large and modern bathroom. Staff were very friendly.

A few amenities were lacking. As Brits, we would have loved a kettle in the room. As is typical with hotel hairdryers, that was a little weak. No smart TV functionality, so no picking up on what you've been streaming at home. The room was also pretty stuffy, so we had the windows open a lot, and there was noise since it's a fairly busy street. These are all pretty minor, but letting you know in case they are important for you.The area is a bit cheaper than in the centre of Paris, but as with all Paris hotels, it's pretty expensive for what you get. At least it is a proper hotel and not some random apartment.

The stay at the hotel was very good, and the location is excellent, right next to Père Lachaise.

However, I sent an email to the hotel afterwards because I forgot an expensive item there, and I never received a reply, which is unacceptable service

Nice staff, quiet and calm surroundings, great for solo traveling, a few steps from the metro and bus

Some stains here and there, far away from attractions (40-50 min most big attractions)

Location a bit far from the city center. The main subway line to the location was out of order.

Disappointing

The hairdryer wasn’t working, and the deco was quite old, walls were stained and marked.

Recommend this place for the families. The gentleman at the reception is very kind and helpful. It is really close to train station and location is safe. There is too many options regarding reastaurants and bakeries. A bit tight but safe parking space.

The location was great, very close to the metro and many restaurants.

The elevator was tiny but honestly that’s expected in most of Europe, I thought rooms had AC but they did not. Luckily there was a fan that worked pretty well.

Good zone, near to metro station. Are several restaurants, coffee and bars

One of the beds had a hard matress

It was ideally located for my purpose, but it was very hot in Paris and no air conditioning was a real drawback. The rooms are clean, the service very helpful and pleasant. It was inexpensive and the neighborhood was lovely.

Air conditioning! If you opened the window, there was a lively street noise, so when there is a heat wave, it’s hard to sleep well. Toiletries are sub-par. I bought shampoo at a local pharmacie.

Lots of cafe’s , eateries close by.. metro station is less than 5 mins away. clean rooms

No fan/ air conditioner. It can get uncomfortable on hot days
