    Pros +

    • Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed
    • Excellent location near Opera Garnier and all the Grands Magasins. the room was large and comfortable with a cure balcony for your morning coffee.
    • Location

    Cons -

    • No good common area to sit in
    • The room amenities are extremely poor (no kettle, no tea spoons, and not even basic tea sachets provided). On top of that, there were no complimentary bottles of water, which is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. The room itself is very small, barely enough space to move comfortably, and the corridors are extremely narrow. Overall, not worth the price and far below expected standards.
    • Parts of the rooms are maybe due for a touch up/revamp, the light in toilet wasn’t working during our stay.

Conveniently located within a 5-10 walk to nearby Metro and bus stops. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. We showed up hours early due to our flight schedule hoping to have them hold our bags until check-in, but they were able to put us in our room immediately.

Love the location of the chess hotel, this was my second time staying here.

Parts of the rooms are maybe due for a touch up/revamp, the light in toilet wasn’t working during our stay.

Great room and facilities. Ensure to ask for a room with a balcony! Staff were so friendly and welcoming and were patient with my rusty French speaking skills.

We didn't have any patients furniture on the balcony but this was no bother as we used chairs from in the room.

The hotel is located so close to many attractions in Paris. It’s a short 5-7 min walk to Opera Garnier and Galley Lafayette. It’s 3 min walk from the Paradox Museum. The staff are friendly and extremely courteous. They have us great tips re places to exploreThe hotel seeks to have hosted some of the local chess tournaments after the name drew attraction from travellers & chess enthusiasts. There is a chest board at the reception on the first floor, so why not start the day with a game of chess, if you are really into it?

I liked the room being very clean, large enough and comfortable. A big plus for all the personnel, who was very friendly and polite, addressing any questions immediately. A big plus also for ths pre-boarding questionnaire sent via email and for room customization as required.

The room was a littlw bit too cold.

What an amazing stay. This hotel provides everything you need. Paris hotels often provide poor value for money but this hotel changed my perception. Incredibly professional staff, wide and clean rooms, good breakfast and fantastic location. 100% coming back again.

Excellent staff and service. Put our family together in adjacent rooms that shared an entrance. Location is a short walking distance to the Metro, restaurants and shopping and the Opera. Very quiet. Room was cozy.

Location was fabulous and hotel felt very secure with room key access to activate the lift. Staff were very friendly and helpful! We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so can’t comment on food but the room was really nice, very clean and well equipped!
