    • The location was absolutely perfect. The APARTMENT I wound up in was spacious, cozy and relatively quiet, despite being in a central urban location. It definitely felt like a home.

    Cons -

    • The hotel room reeked of cigarette smoke, the fabric on the bedframe was falling off, and the mattress had to be 100 years old because it sank so badly when you sat on it you almost went to the floor. The room was FREEZING cold. I slept in my clothes.
    • We're not picky people or people who need a lot of luxury, but a certain basic level of decency when booking a hotel shouldn't be too much to ask. I understand that hostels can be cheap and not as comfortable in their luxury as some hotels. But when advertised as a hotel, you can expect some basic hygiene and facilities. We would have stayed if it wasn't for the fact that we couldn't get in to the hotel between 01:30 and 06:30 AM. This was unacceptable for us because we came to Paris for the nightlife. It only warns you about this by means of a piece of paper at the Hotel reception which is in French. Non-French speaking people would easily miss this. The lady at the reception told us it says it on Booking.com, but it only says the reception is closed. In my book, that does not mean you have now way of getting inside the hotel. Also, only allowed to show until 10:00 AM. I wonder how many people have arrived to a closed door in the middle of the night at this hotel. Please be weary and think twice before booking this place.
    • The hotel closes between 01:30 and 06:30, which is extremely inconvenient and makes guests feel like they’re back in high school with curfews. The hotel is very old, the rooms smell unpleasant, and overall the experience was poor. It’s easy to find a better hotel nearby. I would not recommend staying here.

The location was absolutely perfect. The APARTMENT I wound up in was spacious, cozy and relatively quiet, despite being in a central urban location. It definitely felt like a home.

The reason I upgraded to an apartment. I arrived at the property and was told I have a 1:30 am curfew. I was very surprised by this. The man working at reception insisted that booking.com warned me of this. All I was able to see was that there is no one working at the reception desk between 1:30 am and 6:30 am. Apparently, I was supposed to infer that there was no entry to the building during that time. Either this was miscommunicated by the property to booking.com, or miscommunicated by booking.com to customers. I was told that I could avoid the curfew by paying an additional 15 Euros a night and being moved into the apartment building next door, for a total at 25 nights of 375 Euros. I was dismayed, but I paid for the upgrade. I must say, it did bother me quite a bit, although I liked the apartment. The staff was not very responsive to my needs. There were no towels and when asked for some, I was told that I must be mistaken because there are towels. In fact. There were none. The man resisted giving me a towel, until I absolutely insisted that I must have a towel. A few days later, I was denied a garbage bag by another employee, who said he couldn’t get one for me because his foot was injured. I came back the next day and another girl who worked there said she can’t help me with a garbage bag. Fortunately for me, a housekeeper was there and she got me a garbage bag. After those experiences, I avoided asking them for anything else for the rest of the trip. I should not have to fight for towels and garbage bags.It was six stories of stairs to get up to. The shower was extremely tiny, there often was no hot water, and there was leaking from the toilet.

Great location. Only a few minutes walk to subway and restaurants. Old building with lots of history and charm. Very clean. Shared washrooms and shower were not an issue.

    Excellent location

Bedding was old fashioned and marginally clean

    1VijayPosted on: 1-1-2026

    Bad

Dirty bed linens , annoying lady in the front office . No acces to hotel between 1.30 am to 6 am . Keys are collected back when you go out

The location is pretty good. Walkable to some cool restaurants and a metro. It can be a bit loud on a weekend night though

Only two bathrooms and shower. For all the floors... that's insane.. it's a bit dingy. It's really loud when you're on the second (or third) floor and you can hear people shouting or screaming after a club. It feels like a hostel but not even enough showers and toilets a mid tier hostel would have. It's dingy and the bed was *not* comfortable.

Very close to sumway/metro and around stores and restaurants

Very old building Bathroom not close Not great shower

There's no elevator, which is impossible with three suitcases if you're on the top floor. Furthermore, the room didn't have dark windows to cover the outside light, nor did it have active heating. The shower, if you can call it ‘shower’, was on the ground floor. I think that at least the one-night price isn't at all adequate for the quality of the room

only adequate if you are left without a room for the night otherwise look elsewhere.

    3NedumparackalPosted on: 11-19-2025

    It was in the city

No facilities , too small rooms and could hear man and woman fighting in the next room. Toilet was told as shared but it was on 2nd floor and room on 3rd.

    Location

the structure was a bit old. The room had old furniture and there was a strong smell of dust as soon as you entered. Not all the people at the reception spoke English.

Location and check in starts at 13:00. Thats good

Staff not that friendly, the hotel closes at night, no way to get out even for emergencies, they dont even respond to the phone, the keys you need to leave them every time you get out, but they don’t explain it at the check in. No showers, just toilet and sink.

Hotel near metro station. Easy to go anywhere in Paris. Good restaurants nearby. Staff told me that they were good value. Lots of interesting places to discover too. Felt safe in their care. Good security.

Customers to be aware that there is no lift. Need to be able to carry your bag upstairs. Also, curfew at 1.30 am, but thatsplenty of time.

    3MeganPosted on: 10-13-2025

Very low price, especially for a city like Paris, easy access to Metro and fairly close to intercity rail

No privacy-- toilet down the hall, shower/bath downstairs, limited space or electricity access, lights that flickered, neighborhood a little off.I would not stay there again.

    5riveraPosted on: 10-9-2025

near to all kinds of restaurants.

The room looked dark when we arrived, and only one light bulb for the entire room was working — it gave off a dim yellow light. The walls were faded and looked a bit depressing. I mentioned the lack of light in the room, and the cleaning staff kindly added an extra light bulb.

    Bad

6 floor, not even evaluator .shower sharing on the ground floor

    1StephenPosted on: 10-1-2025

Near a metro station, close to the city centre.

The rooms had stains on the walls, and the bed linen had holes, most likely cigarette burns. It's an old building but 2 toilets and one shower between 12 rooms in a joke. The shower was awkward and well used.

Don't hope it's a hotel 5 stars you know what you reserve, I love the ambiance Moroccan 90's

But you can hear your neighbors distinctly, the walls are very thin. Prepare your earplugs!
