    • It was clean , comfortable and clean beds Ismael was nice
    • Front desk personnel were very helpful. Room was small but functional.
    • Amazing Location..The hotel was great.

    Cons -

    • I dint get the room that it was offers, instead I got a room in the first floor next to the reception desk , can heard everything, couldn’t open the drapes or windows because everyone can see inside, no privacy , don’t know if is hotel or booking problem
    • Small room as most in Paris
    • Instead of one large bed, we had two pushed together.

We loved the balcony overlooking the streets of Paris and it's proximity to Notre Dame and St. Chapelle, the Seine, etc.

    Great location, friendly staff

I had to pay for breakfast. Most places include breakfast in the price

    Location, very charming hotel

Upon our arrival, we were notified that the elevator was not working and had not been working for several days. Fortunately, despite our advanced ages, we were capable of walking up 6 flights of narrow, winding stairs.

    Clean, Nice staff great location

This was our first time staying at La Familia and I would have no hesitation in returning here during our next visit to Paris. Excellent location in the Latin Quarter with lots going on in the neighbourhood, but not at all noisy or unsafe. Our room had a balcony and it was fun sitting outside to watch all the goings-on. Surprisingly spacious room for the heart of Paris, especially the bathroom (those of you who have stayed in budget-friendly independent hotels in France will know what I mean). Very clean hotel and the staff are lovely and friendly. It was an easy walk to Place Saint Michel to catch the RER for the airport.

Friendly people on the desk. Breakfast very good. Good location

Very shabby looking. Halls were dark. No effort to upgrade

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the room — it was cozy and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and overall everything went very well!

The receptionist was polite, though there was a slight sense of reluctance about holding my luggage, which was eventually accommodated.

    9MaureenPosted on: 9-29-2025

The front desk staff were all friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, offering restaurant suggestions and directions (and croissants in the am!). The location in the Latin Quarter was excellent. I asked for a room with balcony and shower and received both. The view from the top floor was spectacular, with Notre Dame in the distance.

Things to be aware of: Parisian hotel rooms are typically small, with twin beds right next to each other. Older hotels have small elevators that fit 2 people, or 1 person/1 bag. We knew this in advance so no problems.

    Location was good

Very noisy every night. Room and bathroom were very small

Not pretentious. It’s a very clean, comfortable and well located hotel . Lots of eating places nearby! This is a basic hotel that is clean and comfortable and a reasonable price for this area. It came up to our expectations:)

Location was great. Didn’t realize breakfast wasn’t part of our stay as I mentioned at check-in when we were inquiring about time it takes on a weekend to get to airport. It starts shortly after 7am but didn’t say we weren’t part of it but rather wasn’t sure if it would be ready when we left. As we checked out the women on sat am rudely asked why I had a piece of bread in my hands as I didn’t buy breakfast and stated it in front of the lobby with other patrons. I quickly apologized and put the bread back. She was also on a personal phone call as she was interacting with our checkout. Very disappointed the way she handled it.

Central location, vintage, breakfast available, 24 hour front desk, you leave your key with reception when you go out, small lift or you can take the circular stairs. Wi-Fi good, 11 minute walk to RER B, coffee making equipment in room.

The rooms are small but the price reflects that. No fridge, few shelves or places to put things

    9rayPosted on: 8-30-2025

Small but very nice room with a second bed for our child.Small balcony for fresh air and to view the street. Lots of restaurants and bakeries nearby, walking distance to the Notre Dame and the Luxembourg Gardens as well as the Pantheon. Short walk to the waterfront promenade and the old city.Very friendly and accommodating staff. The Saturday night celebrations in nearby restaurants went on until the early hours. The beds were comfortable.

Perfect location, small but functional rooms. I like the electric kettle which allows me to make warm drinks. Breakfast was pretty good too. Everything was exactly like described and in the review: the antique feel was nice too.
